Would you consider spreading out the acquisition of the shields a bit? Having all of them available in the same chest in Act 1 is a bit underwhelming. Especially the legendary shield. I get that that shield is more restricted because of the deity thing but if you can use that shield then there is almost no reason to use the "lesser rarity" shields. So maybe move the shield and possibly the cape to a later act? I'm sure you put them there to complement the Blood of Lathander, but it just feels a bit too OP, too early. Acquisition of all other gear I think is fine.
My suggestion would be blue rarity shield as is, purple rarity shield somewhere in mid Act 2, legendary shield in early/mid Act 3. Maybe the cape is available somewhere in the area where the Githyanki are, further in the monastery, or somewhere in Act 2.
*An idea for placement of one of the shields or the cape: When you solve the puzzle at the statue near Moonrise and descend the stairs, there is a puzzle with the potential to fight the Sharran constructs. Perhaps they took something from the monastery when they raided it, and stored it here?
*Also I made an edit on my own cause it bugged me, but the normal shield w/ no additional effects from this mod is blue rarity for some reason.
I put a lot of stuff in the places they are now as I was limited to putting them only in containers that had a unique treasuretable, but now people have figured out a method so we can put them anywhere. Once I have time to do a dedicated playthrough, I should be able to put the items more places.
So there are two of each item right? One copy in the tutorial chest and another you placed in the world? so a party of two can actually wear identical sets and items?
Thanks. Probably never sadly, console won't accept mods containing custom shaders and I hope to create those for the shields when the toolkit material editor stops being broken.
Maybe console doesnt work but i think that u can add mods anyway, there is an option for "mods available on console", so i think it can work even if it only works on pc. Sound strange, but i play trought streaming, so oficial support mods are the only ones that i can use. Try it pls bro :,c
For anyone playing with a mod list full of new magic items, and struggling to get the game to feel balanced, Zerd's RAW has an option to add attunement to BG3. You can match the tabletop limit of 3 items, or follow the Listonomicon example of a 5-item limit, or any more or less you think you need. To save you time unpacking every mod on Nexus so you can add modded items to the attunement list, I have made a file for this mod (and others) you can download/use/copy/modify/whatever.
