Forgive me if this is rude, I was wondering if you would like to take a 3D model I have already made and fitted to a head? I would do it myself but I really am not sure how to do the next steps like texturizing a map for it and coding it for the game, quite frankly my brain stops at sculpting.. aha.. If not that is okay! instead, if you know any in-depth tutorials or are interested in helping me figure it out?? I can give you my discord. I am not sure where else to go for this kind of stuff so I am really sorry if this is inappropriate.
It'd be great if there were a version where the bottom of the mask stops further up on the face. Roughly at the bottom of the nose instead of at the top lip. The dragonborn mask looks great but the others look... off.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the current one is bad. I just REALLY like how slim it looks on the Dragonborn's front view compared to the rest. Saying it looks off was harsher than I intended it to sound. That's my bad.
After my current projects/updates for projects are done I can possibly look into it again, though they may look like they are floating more due to taking into account all the different nose shapes. Part of the reason I did make the design go below the nose.
Still hopeful for that update. Its about time the Blade of Frontiers got a hero mask to go with that flashy rapier. How better to hide his identity as the exiled son of a noble? :)
Side note: you made these from scratch? You should be proud. They're awesome.
Hi there! I was so psyched to see your mod, but I realize it isn't designed for the full release of the game. I'm sure you're busy, but I really hope you continue this mod one day. Using a mask essentially lets me play as my favourite homebrew D&D character, I think your mod is really special :)
Thank you that means a lot. This mod was one of the least requested for an update so sadly did go on the back burner even though I am proud of the masks as I made them myself from scratch. I will look into an update. Just got to make the meshes for Strong body type and dragonborn
Awesome! I don't want to put pressure on you at all! I just wanted you to know someone appreciates it - I wouldn't even know where to begin to make mods like this! For a fellow mask lover - below is a pic I drew of my aforementioned D&D character.
I would love to see this mod updated someday, as I love masks, but don't always want to wander around with the Whispering Mask on at all times, you know?
May I suggest a more humble +1 to Deception, Intimidate or Persuade skills, alternatively it could grant use of the Thaumaturgy or Friends spells. If you want to go a different route, the masks could give advantage AGAINST being deceived, frightened &/or charmed. Ideally you'd have different masks that give different bonuses, so you choose a mask that works for your class playstyle or story situation.
I love the idea of this mod! :D I'd love a variety of masks, In particular I'd love some proper Venetian masks, Plague-doctor masks and grotesque/ voodoo masks. but mainly I'd love to use masks with the 'Harlequin class' mod by; Harlequinzeg0. . Some quick examples; -Harlequin ball mask: grants +1 to your Deception rolls and use of the Vicious mockery spell. -Witchdoctor mask: grants advantage on all your Intimidate & Medicine rolls. -Gargoyle mask; grants advantage against being frightened and a +1 to stealth checks. etc.. Have masks of different rarities... (rare item) 'Mask of the Jade Serpent' (uncommon) Mask of the 'Red Wizards of Thay' 'The scheming Mask of the grand high vizier'...
There's lots of room to make these fun & interesting. ^_^ (possibly just recolour the 'Whispering mask' & 'Devilfoil Mask' from the game to save on modelling time for a lot of them maybe?)
Have you thought about making glasses for players to roleplay, you seem like the one of the few dudes that can figure out to make custom head headgear?
Hi, I do want to try and make some glasses or monocles via the helmet slot. Though they do take a lot of tweaking to get them in a position that hopefully works for most heads though usually requires a little floating. So I can't give an ETA on when I'd get to them.

May I ask you when is this mod going to be updated?

Thank you, yeah I did make them from scratch.
I do think that +2 Charisma is TOO strong!

But definitely an idea I want to attempt.
