Is this mod compatible with the tutorial chest summoning mod? The weapon doesn't show up when I use the potion of tutorial chest summoning. It only appears in the original chest on the ship. The summon command on Script Extender doesn't work either.
This is because the weapon only spawns in the tutorial chest once. If you summon the chest before you get there in person, it wont be at the default chest.
Couple other mods have this issue too. Dunno how to fix, but I have seen other mods fix it.
Hi, hope you fixed it. I created two files for this reason: avoid the tut chest bugs. I advise you to download the old player file and take it from volo, otherwise I can personalize you the mod so you can find the weapon whenever you want.
The direction of the sword effect seems to be wrong. The effect is not flowing along the sword body. It flows outward from the tip of the sword like a scythe. check please! (submit img IMAGES tab)
I have seen the image. First, send me the mod list you are using. The effect of the sword is wrong but I tested it just yesterday and everything was fine. Are you sure you don't have other vfx mods? I will check the mod later after work.
I've just checked the file and nothing is wrong. The sword has the right VFX. Just published an update adding finesse feature. Try installing that file.

Hello, thanks for the mod ! New bug introduced maybe : I downloaded the new version with Finesse and now : the versatile tag is gone, and the game considers I don't have a weapon equipped (see pic).
Works again when switching back to the previous version (10 december).
If you can wait, I'm doing a collection of items and weapons with different effects. Among these there's a green flame blade <3. If you want to change the effect, it's a bit difficult to explain if you've never made a mod, however you should just change the effect in weapon.txt file
Amazing, I looking forward to your collection. I have a little knowledge of the mod. If I understand correctly, the line data"StatusEffectOverrideForItems" "44d77ebf-6843-4d20-9822-578787502b5e" will affect the flame color right? but I have no idea a meaning hashcode, so how could I change it to green.
Simple, in Weapon.txt there's a line called something like "ORO_ALWAYS_DIPP_FLAME_BLUE", it's not exactly like this but it's easy to find. Under this line there are few strings, among those there's "status effect override", change that with the vfx you prefer. I only ask you not to publish the modified content and keep it for you, hope I helped :)
Read changelogs please. Old players is for who had installed the mod before the update and is using it in a current campaign. New player for whom started a new campaign after the update. Hope I helped.
This is partially true, if you are new to the mod but in a mid save, you can grab the new players version and use one of the Tutorial chest summon mod. I think you assume that Tutorial chest is only for new players.
Yeah, consider that deleting a mod in patch 5 makes a save not loadable anymore until you use that mod again. I usually don't like to play with the tut chest icon in the hotbar, so I decided to create two versions, one usable from old players who don't want to install the tut chest summoning mod, the other one for who started a new gameplay. Howevere, in both files the weapon can be find in the tut chest, so do not worry, I did it just to avoid file corruption.
Why use some cool concept of the sword for a banner picture when that's not what the model looks like? You also could maybe retexture the sword black like your other photo at least? I don't mean to complain I've just been looking for a cool evil sword that isn't the glowing red ones from the durge sword mod, that glowing red affect is obnoxious imo.
The mod author literally said: "I will publish a new update soon, with new weapon icon and model. This is my first mod, hope you like it :)." It was just published today lol
As GasyKasai said, I'm new in modding. I'm just learning how to do everything. I uploaded the concept of the mod and also how it looks like in game for now. I apologise for letting you down, but I literally started modding yesterday.
