hi! i'm a big fan of the mod and use it for many characters. i noticed a seam on the full "blackout" tattoo and have resorted to covering it with various transmogs, but wondered if there was a possible fix on the way for it. It appears at the very bottom of the tattoo about where the clavicle is on the character.
I've tried everything, I assumed it was the head I was using but I've deleted this mod everywhere I can find it. However once doing so the base game tattoos do not show up at all, and only the modded ones will when I put the mod back in, is there a way I can completely remove this and restore the base game tattoos again? I wanted to test out one of the tattoos on a current playthrough I have but didn't like it, now it seems I can't get the base game ones back at all and can only use the modded ones.
Edit: Got it solved, turned out it was a patch for eotb and unique tav that was blocking the vanilla tattoos and makeup from showing. I was able to restore the modded makeup and keep the base game tattoos like I originally could.
I love your work, it's fantastic! Although you make it quite hard to pick one style ;) I have a question though, do you have (or would you consider doing) a collection of all your neck tattoos as a make up option for Unique Tav? I love the "moon-forehead" tattoo from your other mod and would love to combine it with one of this mods neck tattoos. Any chance for that to happen?
Thanks for your time and help and work and being amazing!
Does anyone know if this mod is still good with Patch 7? It won't appear or replace any of the vanilla/original tattoos since the new patch and I realize I have the same issue with other replacer mods.
I resolved an issue I was having with this and most other Tattoo / Makeup mods. Might be useful for others who are also unable to get them to show up.
So long as you follow the instructions properly, go to into the "Generated" folder a bit to see if the same issue is happening for you. Should be something like "C:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Baldurs Gate 3/Data/Generated/Public/Shared/Assets"
Now if you get here and see that you have multiple folders, this is the issue. In my case, every Tattoo or Makeup mod I downloaded had their folders named something like "Chara00" or "Chara01" etc instead of just Characters, so nothing was being replaced. So you'll need to go into those folders, copy the .dds files found at the end within the "Resources" Folder, and just bring those over to the real "Characters" folder.
I also had to copy the name of the OG Tattoo file manually, rename the OG to something random, then manually rename the modded file to the OG one in order to have the game use it instead.
Bit of a pain, but I'm glad I was able to find a solution lol. Not sure why the files were installing as random names instead of properly replacing the files they were meant to, but here we are. Hopefully it helps someone else.
Do you use Unique Tav? My partner is trying to get it to work with that mod installed and is having so issues. They currently have the folder in the Unique Tav folder Data > Generated > Public > Shared > Assets > Unique Tav > FACE.
Is that what the file path should look like in that case? We understand the duplicating and renaming part, this is the only step we're having issues with. Thank you so much in advance and thank you for the OG post !!! I think this helped us narrow it down! <3
Oh, I only just saw this. Haven't been on the website in awhile. Hopefully you got it sorted out! I don't use Unique Tav myself, so sadly I wouldn't be able to help you with the problem anyway :(
Edit: Managed to get it to work by using the normal version but renaming it and placing it in the uniquetav folder. (Doesnt Work on custom faces thought)
I know it's been a while since this was made, but I was wondering if I could get the black out neck as a standalone so the others aren't being replaced? Possibly just replacing the beholder neck tattoo?
Hi there, I have unique tav and I am trying to figure out how this works. If I install this does is still replace the options in character creation? or is it like the body tattoo file where it automatically applies the tattoo to your tav and you have to switch the files in order to change it? Thanks!
