No, that would require making icons for the dyes in these mods as well. The creator only made icons for 41 base game dyes.

Hey, I like this mod. So much so that LillyBird and I included it in Listonomicon. "Listo" is a Wabbajack-powered mod list, that works almost identically to Nexus Collections but uses a community alternative to Vortex to help users download mods from Nexus, put them in the correct order, and prepare their game to play. No mods are repacked, stolen, or distributed directly - users are still directed here, just like with Collections, to download from your Nexus page and ensure you are given the proper download credit.

Due to confusion over what Wabbajack is and what it does, users at the Down By The River community encouraged me to give a courtesy "heads up" to the authors whose work is included in Listonomicon. And to assure them that per Listonomicon's install instructions, users are explicitly told to direct their bug reports issues to us first as mod authors (like you) don't want to deal with being inundated with help requests or bug reports from users with 300+ active mods.

You can read a little more about our project on Github, though the preferred way to access Listonomicon is via the Wabbajack gallery. A list of all included mods are here. A synopsis of the philosophy of Listo and what we are trying to accomplish (and avoid) can be found in our Whitepaper on the first two pages, and is elaborated starting page 17 "List Philosophy."

If you have any concern about your mod being included in Listonomicon (which is still downloaded from this page, and credits you as the author), please send me a message via Nexus's PM mail. I'm not sure how to get notifications if someone has replied to a comment.

This should be the default icon template for all dye mods. Well done!

I just added this mod and I wanted to say how amazing it is! It makes everything so much easier! But the real kicker is the metal handle--I read the description but I didn't realize what you meant until I saw it in game. Making the handle be the color it turns the metal is G E N I U S! Seriously, kudos to you for making our lives so much easier!!!

Works for me with the latest patch 6 and I can't see any error messages. Maybe some mod manager problems?

      it worked.

Currently this does not affect the newest dyes from the mod Extra Dyes for the Fashionable Folk of Faerun, though it does still function with the older ones from the same mod.

    Good mod, by the way.

Hey there, it says in the description that this mod may have incompatibility with Cerberry mods. I happen to use their clothing mod.

But i also would love to use this mod. What exactly happens if i install them both?

Hello! It was mentioned in the "Bugs" section that using Distinctive Dyes with Cerberry mods makes all his new items not show up on the vendor.

      I can't 100% confirm it because I haven't tested it yet.

I try not to mess too much with the original text game files, but I'd prefer to make compatibility patches.

Been very busy lately, but I'll soon get back to work on this mod. What dye mods are you using?

The updated images are a downgrade. Just needlessly less focused on the colors but in game they also seem like lower res images for some reason. Gonna downgrade back to the good stuff for now.

No problem, that's why I kept it available so there are more options.

Larian is now using low-res tooltips for some resolutions, probably to save some performance. I think 1440p and lower resolutions are forced to use them.

If you talk about inventory icons, at least for me, these are much sharper and clearer than in v1.

Something with hotfix #14 (or updating SE) is suddenly making the game/SE/bg3mm not like the dummy file anymore - I'm investigating.

[edited to add: For once the "-continueGame" command worked (no dummy file required). Worth trying for everyone trying to update this to v2]

*Sigh* I hope it's really a bug soon to be fixed because this strict UUID dependency, even for such simple mods, makes it restrictive for no reason as it can't really break or corrupt anything on its own. I'm new to this, so thanks for helping out other people. 👍👍

Steam Forum post about this problem: BG3 not loading saves if mods were removed before Patch #5 :: Baldur's Gate 3

"-continueGame" command works as Launch options on Steam or you can add it to your Mod Manager

By the way, if you don't use any Mod Manager and install your mods to your "Data" folder, good for you guys. You won't have any problems like this.

Latest BG3 "hotfix" breaks s#*! again, cheesus. Launch options trick allowed me to load my save file, but most of the mods didn't work. Then I tried marking all broken mods as 'Loose files' in my Mod Manager and they started working again, including Distinctive Dyes.

I'll note that when updating this mod with BG3MM, I didn't have any issue (I didn't need any "dummy file" or the "-continueGame" command either).
I did keep the mod in the "Overrides" section of the Mod Manager. That might be why?

Yeah, I have mine in overrides too. But because the UUID was changed, the game itself didn't want to view it as the same mod in saves made before patch 5.
