Maybe I am misunderstanding what the mod does or maybe I've just done something incorrectly: I have used the tadpole and the tadpole powers still just say Action. I do have the Awakened status on my character sheet. But, I cannot use the powers as a bonus action. I have not been to the creche yet if that makes a difference. If you have any pointers or clarifications for me, I'd very much appreciate it.
I double clicked the tadpole and received the status for Awakened on my character sheet. My chain of events was: I had waited till I unlocked the ability to use tadpoles on the long rest after the goblin bridge scene. I had used the tadpoles and gotten two powers. I then used the awakened tadpole to get the status. I verified I had the status on my character sheet. I hovered over the tadpole power and the tooltip said, Action. I double checked in the Bonus Action section on the interface to see if it was being pulled in despite the tooltip saying, Action. It was not pulled in. It was exclusively an action still. Also, I am using the illithid overhaul 2. It shows your mod as supported. If I could test further with it, I would, but I’m in honour mode for the legendary actions, so I can’t go back and try different things.
That was my thought as well, but I toggled it in tests and it didn’t make a difference. I did try to remove this mod to see if that would make a difference, but my game wouldn’t load without it. I was currently trying to rush up to that scenario again on a new character without that toggle mod to see if it makes a difference, but haven’t gotten that far yet.
Just tested it real quick and it works just fine for me.

As for the mod itself, the only thing I did with the latest version was make a potion that references the Awakened condition, which already exists in the game.
Thanks for taking a look. I appreciate it. Clearly, I've done something wrong. I'll just restart the game and try again. What's the recommended timing for using the item to receive the condition? Before or after you unlock tadpole powers? Thanks so much for the assistance!
You know, I just realised you havea tadpole overhaul mod. I uninstalled the other one and installed yours. Everything works perfectly now. I had misunderstood the title on your tadpole powers mod and thought it was just extra tadpoles. Installed and this and the other are great together. Now, to finally restart my attempt at a sorcerer whose powers interacted very strangely with the magic in the tadpoles run. Thank you!
I already downloaded and activated the two.pak files in mod manager and I only get the empty container, is there any order that I have to put the two mods in and maybe I download it wrong? (I'm testing the tadpole from the beginning in the chest tutorial, Do I have to wait for the game to progress for it to appear in the chest?)
Is your save with your character standing right in front of the chest? If that's the case, then, no, you won't see them in the chest since the chest was already triggered to spawn its items prior to you installing the mod. Try using one of the tutorial chest summoning mods to see if it shows up that way.
Hi, I used cheat engine along with your mod to spawn 4 tadpoles and gave all 4 party members bonus action Illithid powers. Now I only want it to be present on my MC, so thought to delte/uninstall the mod and reinstall and spawn only 1 tadpole with the UUID, like I previously did the 4. But now my game just constantly crashes when trying to load, I did not ahve any unconsumed tadpoles in my inventory, what should I do?
Hm, that's odd. I had no issues when I removed the mod. Does your save load fine if you put the mod back in?
I'll try to reproduce your issue. In the meantime, you can use tempvee's Toggleable Zaith'isk Awakened Passive mod and deactivate it on the companions you don't want the passive on.
No luck so far in reproducing your issue. At first I was getting the 60% crash as well, but it turned out I still had Awakened Tadpoles in my inventory. Got rid of them and the save loads fine. It slows down at 60%, but then goes ahead to 80% and then 100%.
Unfortunately, it crashes for me at 60% as well. I made absolutely sure that there were no tadpoles left in my inventory (I only used one to begin with), the tutorial chest had vanished, and it still crashes. Interestingly, saving and reloading seems fine, but once I quit the game and try to load it again, the crash occurs. I should note this happens whether I remove the stock file or not.
I just attempted to reproduce this and the save loaded fine even after quitting the game. I tested with removing the stock file first, and then I removed the main file. Both times, the save loaded.
If the crash occurs regardless of whether you had the stock file or not, then I think you may have a separate issue. If you were crashing with the stock file uninstalled, then I would have said to check if you had the tadpole container inside your inventory.

Hi, was wondering if such passive mods are easy to make. Cause I tried finding Boooal's Benediction and Loviatar's Blessing to no avail. Are you able to do something similar? It's fine if it's not possible though. I'm just trying my luck. 😂

And good luck on your playthrough! It sounds like it’ll be an interesting one :)

I'll try the other passive after a break :)
