      The Customizer's Compendium mod was doing this for me. I downloaded 4 mods, this one included. I uninstalled and launched game multiple times and narrowed it down to that mod.

    Tried this one but now I can't even communicate with Arron (merchant). He simply won't talk. Weird.

      The Basket Full of Equipment NSFW and SFW versions have a bag full of overpowered rings that work like a charm. I have never had any issues with the mod, always updated, and always properly worked.

    I seem to have an ongoing issue with mods giving me proficiency bonuses. When using a ring, or any mod that does something similar to make things easier, my game soft-locks on dice rolls in dialogue. I'm using Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer, LSLib/Divine Tool, JWL Errors Begone, and I have  NativeModLoader. Any idea what could be going wrong and/or a way to remedy this issue?

    Anyone know how to get it to work on MAC Steam Version?

    I thought it should be the same than PC, but does not seem to work. The game folders on MAC are under:

    Macinstosh HD/Users/{user}/Documents/Larian Studios/

    - put .pak and .json file into Mods folder

    - PlayerProfiles only has a file called playerprofiles8.lsf and a subfolder called Public, inside Public-folder I find the modsettings.lsx and append as per instruction

    Since in my safe already past starting area, I went to halfling vender in druid camp, but does not have the rings?

      This is so weird I'm in the exact same boat. Been going back and forth to the trader. Can't find a lot of comprehensive info on how to install for mac

      I was able to get this to work on a Mac. First, only add the .pak file to the Mods folder (don't include the .json file). In my Steam installation, I have two modsettings.lsx files - one is directly inside the PlayerProfiles folder and the other is in the Public subfolder. I'm never sure which one is the right one to update, so I always update them both. Modify the modsettings.lsx file as directed in the description tab of the Overpowered Rings mod and/or in the post by XinTx directly below. (I also always keep a backup copy of the unmodified modsettings.lsx file somewhere else on the drive just in case I make a mistake.)

      Also, on a Mac, here's the path to find the correct folder: Macintosh HD (your internal hard drive)>Users>Your User folder>Documents>Larian Studios>Baldur's Gate 3. The Mods folder and the PlayersProfiles folder are in the Baldur's Gate 3 folder.

    Since Patch 3, any trade/barter with Aaron the halfling causes save failure.  (Quick, Auto, and full)  Can you please move them to the tutorial chest on the nautiloid or another location?  The rings are great and I have really enjoyed your mode.

    I got this to work, and it is extremely helpful (I used BG3 Mod manager) but just as a heads up to anyone whos curious do NOT have the rings equipped in the Self-Same trial in the Gauntlet of Shar. You fight identical copies of yourself, and they will also have the rings on if you do making them almost impossible to kill. Other than that one fight everything works great :)

    some people seem to be having issues so I thought I'd write up a step-by-step for them

    1. download the mod, open the zip. (there are several ways to do this, and I'm going to assume if you're here you ahve at least that basic step understood, if not google will more patiently explain that)
    2. place the .pak in C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods
    3. navigate to C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public
    4. open modsettings.lsx with notepad++ (notepad may work, I didn't try)
    5. ctrl+f and enter GustavDev in the "find what" box. click find next.
    6. this entire thing:
    <node id="ModuleShortDesc">
      <attribute id="Folder" value="GustavDev" type="LSString" />
      <attribute id="MD5" value="60f6ce76d2bf1b0e4cb8b7fe373df898" type="LSString" />
      <attribute id="Name" value="GustavDev" type="LSString" />
      <attribute id="UUID" value="28ac9ce2-2aba-8cda-b3b5-6e922f71b6b8" type="FixedString" />
      <attribute id="Version64" value="144255925567876650" type="int64" />
    </node>
    is the gustavdev node. navigate to the bottom "</node>" and hit enter after the > to create a new line.
    7. paste this:
    <node id="ModuleShortDesc">
    <attribute id="Folder" type="LSWString" value="OPRing"/>
    <attribute id="MD5" type="LSString" value=""/>
    <attribute id="Name" type="FixedString" value="OPRing"/>
    <attribute id="UUID" type="FixedString" value="98d7f8f7-1dc2-4375-a623-72321fae78a2"/>
    <attribute id="Version" type="int32" value="144115188075855912"/>
    </node>
    into the new line you just created in step 6.
    8. you will likely have to fix the format so it matches all the other nodes. in front of <attribute hit three tabs and two spaces so it matches the formats from the other nodes. </node> just needs three tabs. (this is all using notepad++, again i have no idea what it would look like in notepad but i assume something similar)
    9. once the format of the node matches the other nodes, save and exit the file.
    10. Open bg3modmanager and make sure the opring file is on the left side, save loadorder.
    11. launch the game and take a long rest (assuming you're installing mid play-through)
    12. return to the druid cove's merchant (the halfling) and if done correctly you will see a ring box with 7 items inside that will be priced 240gold if I correctly recall.
    13. buy the ring box and have fun.
