Hello everyone! I'm just now seeing that there are lots of new comments here since full release. I made this reshade during Early Access and haven't kept up much with it in the years since, so I apologize to anyone who commented that I didn't respond to.
Since the full release launch, I've created a new reshade preset. It aims to do something similar to this one, but I think it accomplishes it in a much more subtle way.
I'll keep this reshade up for anyone who enjoys it, but I may upload my new reshade preset once I have time to get some before/after screenshots. If/when that's uploaded, I'll post an update here for anyone interested.
Thank you all for your support and I'm so happy to hear that my little reshade has enhanced so many of y'all's BG3 experience :)
This reshade was made during Early Access. As such all of the screenshots are from the EA version of the game, so that's just the old UI before the full release came out.
I don't know why, I have the reshade 5.9.2 but the reshade menu won't appear ingame. I push the Home button and it didn't show up. I don't know what I did wrong. i uninstall my old reshade and all and install it again before following the instruction.
Hey Paracosm, I was wondering if there was anything changed with the base shaders that are installed in Reshade like the AmbientLight.fx? I like taking screenshots and run multiple presets/tweak my own, was wondering if it's fine to just skip the replacements and just add anything new that's needed for this preset?
I followed the instructions a few times but not sure what I'm doing wrong, my game wont even start when I install reshade. I've tried for dx11/base bg3.exe and tried both Direct X 11 and Vulkan, when I click to start the game it either immediately crashes before the game starts or just doesn't do anything at all until I uninstall reshade. Any ideas?
edit: Apparently fraps was causing the game to not start with reshade if anyone else is having this issue, turn off fraps until you're in the game
Genuinely fixes some of the lighting issues in the game without destroying the intended art direction. Dark areas are now dark, and there's no more glare over everything, textures pop. Huge FPS hit at 4K though. Reduces 90-100+ > 60ish on a 3080. The home key defaults to reset camera, which is used a ton. You may want to suggest a different toggle.

I know, you have a new preset, but i like this one better. And what if i want to change? Am i stuck keeping your files in the folders always?
Could a variant of put this preset be made into a single .ini file make it useable with Reshade? Pretty please?
