简介:
因为游戏的汉化有一些跟原意有出入的地方,所以我根据自己的喜好选择性地在一些文本/信息量较大的地方贴上了英文原文以帮助理解(比如对话,书籍,地点,任务描述等 - 选择性贴英文其实比无脑全贴要难搞得多,不要觉得我是因为偷懒才不全贴的...),而UI部分尽量不碰以保证界面的简洁。同时加上了队友好感度提示和检定难度等级提示,方便自己二周目攻略队友。

* 同时我也有在把翻译得很烂/错误/夹带私货的台词进行修改,但光凭我一个人能覆盖到的台词毕竟很少,所以如果大家看到了令人无语的翻译也可以放进这个文档,我晚点修改 *

基于这个mod我还做了个书籍台词全展开玩,有兴趣可以看看,可以挖出不少有趣的废案/隐藏台词(比如奥林骗主控吃肉,卡姐打破第四面墙,君主的原双生设定Daisy等)

为了保证界面简洁,我把角色名字都做了缩写处理:

请注意,
1. mod里技能检测相关的提示只会显示【成功】后的结果 - 失败的后果会随着失败后的那条台词出来,这是【正常】的,因为我觉得没有人在掷骰子的时候是奔着失败去的吧...
2. 字幕里会显示所有的可能性,但如果该队友当前不在队中/还没入队/是当前说话的人则不受影响,所以看到心仪的选项可以退出对话然后把人踢回营地或者把人从营地拉过来。
3. 有时候提示里会显示好感度增减,但是左上角并没有跳出XXX表示赞同,这可能是因为:
a. 好感度已经满了
b. 要对话多几句才有赞同
c. 系统自己的bug,我就遇见过几次 - 左上角没有显示赞同但是去队友详细信息里能看到好感度数值增加了
d. 本来设计的时候是有增减的,但是后续patch里取消了(有空下次更新的时候修复)



关于安装

我调试的时候就是直接找到\steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Localization\Chinese这个folder把我的mod扔进去覆盖原始文件(如果你也准备这么做的话 - 下载后先解压,然后重命名为Chinese.pak,然后用这个文件去覆盖原有的Chinese.pak文件),应该有别的比较正式的安装途径,但我不怎么打mod,所以不太清楚...
因为是个比较简单的mod,只是覆盖了原有的语言文件,所以并不会对游戏性产生影响,最差的情况也就是文本显示的问题,所以这点请放心。


FAQ:
1. mod下载后不显示双语字幕+好感度提示?
- 那么在生效的并不是我的mod。请检查一下之前有没有安装别的任何修改语言文件的mod,如果有的话,要把有冲突的mod卸载了(光禁用没有用),再把语言换成别的语言然后换回中文,最后去用我的pak去覆盖原来的pak.
2. 更新后mod失效了?
- 其实就是更新了的文件把我的mod冲掉了,可以再用我的mod去覆盖一次那个新的Chinese.pak就好了。也不用担心新的文件里有我mod里没有的文本会导致崩溃什么的,因为程序默认会用English.pak里有的内容去填上,所以最多也就是会出现一些纯英文。
3. 能不能一个做只显示好感度的版本?
- 可以,但没必要,因为已经有了一个叫"Show Approval Ratings in Dialogue Choices"的Mod,就有中文版。所以如果只在意好感度提示的话,直接下载那个就行了。
4. 如何恢复原来的语言文件?是否需要备份原来的语言文件?
- 可以备份原来的语言文件,在不需要mod的时候用这个原始文件去覆盖mod文件,但!!这个备份一定不能再放在原来的文件夹里!!!不然(可能是因为caching的缘故)游戏engine依旧会指向原来的语言文件。当然,更简单的办法就是去steam上更改语言(任意语言都可),然后过几秒再换回来。这样系统会强制重置language folder,mod也就自动被冲掉了。

* This is the first mod I made, and I've seldom used mods before, so please bear with me if it's flawed
(Also, I only know Chinese and English, so while I would test my Chinese version using several saves that I have, for other languages I just took a quick glance on the files that I made and eyeballed that they seemed fine. But considering they are produced using the same code as the Chinese version, I think they shouldn't be off too much...)

Because there are some discrepancies between the Chinese localization of the game and the original meaning in English, I have selectively added the original text in some text-heavy or informative areas according to my preferences to aid in understanding (such as dialogues, books, locations, mission descriptions, etc.).
I tried to avoid adding excessive English text to the general UI to ensure a clean interface. Additionally, I've added the companion approval/reaction hints to the dialogue, so no one needs to worry about being surprised by Astarion disapproving random nice decisions that we make....

To keep the interface clean, I used abbreviations in the dialogue hints.
Below is the mapping:
A - Astarion
L - Lae'zel
G - Gale
S - Shadowheart
W - Wyll
K - Karlach
J - Jaheira
M - Minthara
B - Minsc (B as for Boo XD)
H - Halsin
Please note that:
1. The hints related to SkillChecks only show the approval reaction of when you *pass* the skill check. If you fail, the approval rating would come along with the line after failing the check, which is *intended*.
2. It would show all the possibilities in the dialogue, but the companions who are not currently in the team/have not yet joined the team/is the person currently speaking would not be actually impacted. Therefore, if you see a preferable dialogue choice, you can exit the dialogue and fetch someone from the camp or kick someone back to the camp to earn the approval points/avoid losing approval points : )
3. Sometimes the hints show a reaction for a choice, but the system doesn't show XXX approves/disapproves, which might be caused by
a. Approval rate of that companion is already 100
b. The approval reaction shows up only after several more lines
c. The game's own bug, which I've encountered several times - it doesn't show the approval reaction, but if you go to the companion detail page and look at the approval rating chart, you will see the increase/decrease
d. The approval reaction exists in the original design, but gets cancelled in later patches/fixes (I will try to fix in next update when I have the time)



Installation:
As I mentioned, I seldom used mods before, so my approach when testing my mod was to simply find the \steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Localization\[Language] folder, and replaced [Language].pak in that folder with the one I made.
*If you also want to take this approach, please remember to save a copy of your original [Language].pak file.*
Download the 7z file from "Optional Files" and unzip it. You will find some [Language]_[version]_[description].pak files. Rename the one you need to [Language].pak, and replace the one in \steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Localization\[Language] folder.
You might see a warning when launching the game - please just ignore it.


FAQ:
1. Not showing the bilingual subtitles + approval reaction hints?
- Then it's not my mod that's currently in use. Please check if you have installed any mod that would alter the Language file, and if so, please uninstall it (simply disabling it won't work), and then use my .pak file to replace the original [Language].pak file.
2. Mod not working after a hotfix/patch?
- Probably because the hotfix/patch forced the [Language].pak file to be re-downloaded. Simply replacing the new one with my mod again would solve it. Also, you don't need to worry that the new [Language].pak contains lines that my mod doesn't and thus casuing the game to crash, because in those cases the system would use lines in English.pak (which we didn't touch), so worst case we would get some pure English lines.
3. Can you make a version without the bilingual subtitles?
- I can, but there is actually an existing mod called "Show Approval Ratings in Dialogue Choices". It has multiple language versions, so I would recommend that you just download that one if approval hints are your core need.
4. How do I disable the mod? Do I need to keep a copy of the original language file?
- The easier way to disable the mod is to change the language setting in steam to any other language, wait a few seconds, and change it back to your original language. This way the system would force the language folder to be reset to the original state, and thus, void the mod.
