Does anyone have this mod (.pak or loose files) available at least to normie races (human/elf/half-elf/drow)? I can't mod at all so I don't know how to make changes mentioned by the author, and I really want to make an elf with these horns... EDIT: Ok I finally managed to add these horns for elves, so if anyone wants to have these horns on normie races here's step-by-step of how I did it: 1) Download Saer's Horns - for me it worked better than HalfTiefs. 2) Using BG3 Modder's Multitool unpack the Saer's Horns. 3) Copy the horns you want to use from Bullpoint folder to "UnpackedMods\Saers_Horns\Generated\Public\Saers_Horns\[PAK]_Saers_Horns\Horns" 4) Locate the horns you want to replace, for example half-elf: "HLF_F_Horns_SUni.GR2" < these are unihorn type 5) To exchange them, rename the "TIF_F_NKD_Horns_I_Curved.gr2" to "HLF_F_Horns_SUni.GR2". Remember to delete the original file before you rename it. 6) Pack it up using BG3MM 7) Place into BG3 Mod Manager and enjoy ^^
And here's my high elf being horny-er, I mean horned :3 For some reason it doesn't work on short races but I wasn't digging that deep :P
Ayyy that looks cool as heck! Thank you for your edit with the guide too!
Just remember that the horns inherit the materials/textures of the model you're replacing. It only replaces the model, not any textures. BUT you can get different looks by replacing different horns with my .gr2
(Setting textures requires code which is beyond my knowledge currently.)
Does this still work? I've followed the steps and it's not working for me. I am new to modding so it might just be user error but I followed the guide step by step and it's not popping up in game.
Here, try my file: Saers_Horns+Bullpoint.pak The horns replace "Unihorn" and "Corvid" (I must've replaced the latter by mistake but I'm too lazy to fix that). If it still doesn't work, that means it doesn't work with patch 7 (I'm on patch 6).
It's very possible, but unfortunately I lack the ability to do this myself. :(
You could do it yourself by unpacking a mod that adds new horns to other races with the BG3 modders multi tool and just replace one of the .gr2 files for the race/gender you want to put these on, and then repack it. Just be aware that whatever colors/textures are on the model you replace will be applied to this set of horns.
You can probably do EXACTLY that with this mod! It adds tief horns to all races. If you unpack this mod, drop my .gr2 files into it (make sure you match the gender/body type) and then repack it that should work. :) https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2538
If you want to replace a different pair, simply rename the downloaded .gr2 file to the pair you want to replace, (and make sure it's in the correct race/gender subdolder) Do note however that the model will inherit the texture of the Horns you are replacing, so if you don't like the look of it try switching it to a different pair. Delete the files you copy/paste/rename to remove the mod. :)
That would require code and building it into a .pak mod. If you unpack an existing horn mod you could technically replace the horn model file and then repack the mod but they will look different depending on the texture of the horns as these use vanilla horn textures based on whatever slot it's in and does not have a specific texture linked to it, as it is outside of my ability to do so rn.
Is this after switching them to replace the fis colis instead of the ramhorns? Can you send me a screenshot?
They always look blurry on my modding PC with blender bc the GPU sucks so I honestly don't even know what they look like normally on anything but minimum graphical settings. But they should look much better on other people's PCs that CAN run the game.
Yeah okay, it looks like it's trying to use the Dis Colis horns texture when you apply it to the dis colis slot. As the texture resolution is fine, but the UV map is not intended for it.
I noticed the same thing happens with head replacer mods, they take the texture of whatever head slot you're replacing. I thought for sure because the mesh has the UV set to the ramhorns that they would apply the ramhorns texture regardless of slot. I think some scripting would be needed to fix the issue, and at that point, may as well make a custom texture for them. (I'm just 50% sure I lack the skills to make something that would match stylistically with BG3, and definitely don't know how to utilize the RGB channels for making them compatible with selecting horn and horn tip colors so I just kept it simple and used vanilla textures.)
Would you be willing to make a set of horns like those of Ichigo from Bleach, in his Vasto Lord form? Perhaps not quite as angular, if you prefer. Thank you for these awesome mods though.
If you want to replace the Dis Cols instead of the Ramhorns, rename the files, and change _I_Curved to _J So for example if you rename the file TIF_NKD_Horns_I_Curved.gr2 to TIF_F_NKD_Horns_J.gr2 it will replace the Dis Coils horns instead of the ramhorns. Do this for all 4 files if you want all 4 to replace the Dis Colis instead of Ramhorns.

Is there any way for me to change which horns are replaced? I'd like to keep the original ramhorns beside this version.

Would it be as simple as renaming it, or would I have to reconfigure the file altogether?
If you unpack an existing horn mod you could technically replace the horn model file and then repack the mod but they will look different depending on the texture of the horns as these use vanilla horn textures based on whatever slot it's in and does not have a specific texture linked to it, as it is outside of my ability to do so rn.

But it might be pulling the wrong texture.

I've modeled and added something loosely inspired by them for ya.
So for example if you rename the file
TIF_NKD_Horns_I_Curved.gr2
toTIF_F_NKD_Horns_J.gr2
it will replace the Dis Coils horns instead of the ramhorns.Do this for all 4 files if you want all 4 to replace the Dis Colis instead of Ramhorns.
