If the mod isn't working after the updates, uninstall and reinstall the mod and the dependencies. Make sure to install Baldur's Gate Script Extender with console, so that you can check if the mod is even loading. Make sure the mod appears in your modsettings file. If it doesn't appear in your modsettings file, move the mod a bit in your load order and save the load order until it does.
After the game launches, check Script Extender's console. You should be getting "Configuration for Mod Name" "#number of your mods mod configuration(s) loaded." Something like this:
If you don't see the mod's name in there, something is wrong on your end. Repeat the same steps. If you see any errors you can share them in your comment/bug report.
Working fine for player characters, companions and hirelings.
If a character breaks their oath for the first time, you might get the Oathbreaker cutscene after exiting the Oathbreaker subclass screen. If you get the cutscene before hitting accept then you need to save your game after the cutscene ends and then load that save to get the Oathbreaker subclass screen again, otherwise your character will be bugged.
I I'm running into a bit of an issue where I can't accept the oathbreaker stuff before the cutscene. I've spent over 15 minutes just reloading the save and the last time I did, I got to fully accept it. But the oathbreaker guy still doesn't recognize me as an oathbreaker. How do I go about fixing this?
The cutscene is only supposed to trigger the first time you break your oath with a character and all you have to do (if it was triggered while still in the respec type menu) is to save after the cutscene ends and then load that save. After loading into the save you can edit the stats to whatever you want if I remember correctly. Never had any issues.
just ran into the issue where it seems that i'm not proficient with heavy armor with my paladin class because i subclassed into it rather than began as it. i want to respec my character to correct this, but the 1000 gold cost is absurd and i did not wish to have to break my oath again afterwards. this mod was an absolute godsend, ty!
hello , hope this message find you well i writing this to ask if the mod can be installed with vortex ? and if not do you plan on adding that in the future ? thanks and much love
Seems like the oathbreaker paladin in camp is slightly bugged. Speaking to him won't proc his introductory conversation and he acts like your oath is still standing at first. oh well.
It is working just fine for me. Try saving and reloading the save file. Try breaking and reclaiming your oath. You can check if your oath is indeed broken or claimed by the shield icon next to your character's portrait.
EDIT 2: Ya, seems to just be Minthara is buggy as hell. I assumed it was potentially the mod since she broke right when I used the mod. Oh well, hopefully she gets fixed in Act 3.
Not sure what happened, but as soon as I have a Paladin break their Oath with this...their AI is completely gone. Reclaiming Oath, class changing off of Paladin, killing then resurrecting them...nothing. They will not follow me anymore. If I control them, everything is fine. I'm not sure what kind of mod conflict could cause this but I broke Minthara's Oath and went to finish off the Mountain Pass...where she won't follow. Needless to say, a few hours later and I'm just now finding this out is a bit discouraging.
I'm fairly certain it's this mod because I went 6 hours back to the first save without this mod in there and her AI is working perfectly.
EDIT: I went back and made sure I hit the Confirm button before the Oathbreaker cutscene played a few times and the issue still persists afterwards
Maybe? I have a Save working where she functions fine outside of combat in Act 2 before I put the mod into the list, but I'll test some things out to be sure.
Don't see any reason for the mod to break npcs/companions as what it does is pretty simple. It also worked fine for me when I was testing it. It looks like minthara is just buggy af even in the vanilla game and the mod either triggered this buggy behavior or it is just a coincidence that it happened when you used the mod.
Will post my experience hopefully helping someone setting this for the first time. 1. After you installed BG3 mod editor and dropped in the Script Extender .dll file into BG3/bin directory, you might see a red exclamation mark next to Oath Spells mod entry. Just exit BG3 mod editor and re-launch, it will be recognized. After this, I had to drag Oath Spells mod from the left window to the right "Active Mods" window and then save. 2. After you launch the game and are on the char whom you want to oath break, like @yakuzadeso mentioned, you will probably get the cutscene of oathbreaker before you hit accept button, just save and reload.

Edit: Seems like this is a vanilla bug:

Working as of today with the latest patch 6.

It took me a while to figure out the above.
