About this mod

Adds stronk/body type 4 version of the standard masc Human Head 8. For BT4 Humans, Elves, Half-elves, and Tieflings.

Simplified to one main version (uses glow enabled eye mats)

⫸ About:

This was a request to convert the Body Type 2 Human Head 8 to Type 4, as it is currently missing from the game. Available now for BT4 Human, Elf, Half-elf, and Tiefling.

The head is standalone and has been scaled up the best I could while trying to keep the facial proportions close-ish to the Type 2 version.
Uses a custom skeleton so the animations, piercings, and beards should all fit a bit better.




⫸ Installation:

  •  Unzip the downloaded file/s and place the jerinski_HUM8_BT4.pak  and/or  jerinski_HUM8_BT4_zazz.pak into your game's Mods folder: ..\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods
  •  Use BG3 Mod Manager and move mod from Inactive over to Active Mods. Save load order and then Export to game.
  •  In CC you should now see a new Head Icon [?] for Humans Body Type 4 named: Head 8 strong  and/or  Head 8 strong zazz


To update mod just overwrite the .pak in your Mods folder.

FAIR WARNING for loose file usage: head mods with custom skeletons, when loaded loose like this, can potentially have some animation oddness in cutscenes. If that's the case I cannot support it and simply recommend using the pak version!

  •  Unzip the downloaded file, open it.
  •  Drag and drop the Data folder into your game's base directory
    (e.g. the default with Steam is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3 )
  •  If you are prompted to Replace, do so. Everything should automatically go into place. Done!

To uninstall follow these paths:
  • Head: ..\Data\Generated\Public\SharedDev\Assets\Characters\_Anims\Humans\_MaleStrong\Resources -> the 1 gr2 file
  • Armature: ..\Data\Public\SharedDev\Assets\Characters\_Anims\Humans\_MaleStrong -> the 1 gr2 file
  • Textures: ..\Data\Generated\Public\Shared\Assets\Characters\_Models\Humans\HUM_M_NKD\HUM_M_Head_A\Resources -> the 3 dds files
