If you want a buffed version or one that has all the features from XGE Samurai, check my other mod: Samurai Shogun (Buffed XGE 5e Samurai)

Bonus Proficiency:
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: History, Insight, Performance, or Persuasion. Alternatively, you learn one language of your choice.

*The game doesn't like it when you learn proficiencies outside of level 1. I had to add Expertise for it to work, so you choose both proficiency and expertise. It is a little unintuitive but once you select the Samurai subclass, you have to go back to the Fighter class tab and the option to choose skills is there. RAI.*

Fighting Spirit:
Starting at 3rd level, your intensity in battle can shield you and help you strike true. As a bonus action on your turn, you can give yourself advantage on all weapon attack rolls until the end of the current turn. When you do so, you also gain 5 temporary hit points. The number of hit points increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 10 at 10th level and 15 at 15th level. You can use this feature three times. You regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

*Action once per turn, gives you an advantage on all attacks and costumes an Action Resource while giving temporary hitpoints. RAW.*

Elegant Courtier:
Starting at 7th level, your discipline and attention to detail allow you to excel in social situations. Whenever you make a Charisma (Persuasion) check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Wisdom modifier. Your self-control also causes you to gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws.

*Gives a passive bonus to Persuasion equal to Wisdom modifier and Proficiency in Wisdom Saves. RAW.*

Tireless Spirit:
Starting at 10th level, when you roll initiative and have no uses of Fighting Spirit remaining, you regain one use.

*Only triggers when it's the character's first turn to act in battle. Check if you have Fighting Spirit left. If not, you gain one use. RAW*

Rapid Strike:
Starting at 15th level, you learn to trade accuracy for swift strikes. If you take the Attack action on your turn and have advantage on an attack roll against against one of the targets, you can forgo the advantage for that roll to make an additional weapon attack against that target, as part of the same action. You can do so no more than once per turn.

*I made it so you may target an enemy that you can see and that you have advantage against. You enter a furious stance that gives you Disadvantage, thus negating the Advantage, but that enables you to make one free Extra Attack against that target. You must have attacks remaining to activate this stance and can dismiss it whenever you want. To avoid exploits, you can only activate this ability when you have action points remaining, and you can only use the free attack when you have no action points remaining. Starting or dismissing it is a free action. The free attack automatically dismisses it, but if you killed your target before using the free attack, be sure to dismiss it before ending your turn or you'll make opportunity attacks at a disadvantage for the round. RAI.*

Strength Before Death:
Starting at 18th level, your fighting spirit can delay the grasp of death. If you take damage that reduces you to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to delay falling unconscious, and you can immediately take an extra turn. While you have 0 hit points during that extra turn, taking damage causes death saving throw failures as normal, and three death saving throw failures can still kill you. When the extra turn ends, you fall unconscious if you still have 0 hit points.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

*I made it so, if you reach 0  points, you regain 1 hitpoint instead of becoming Downed and become untargetable until you can act. You can use this feature once per long rest. As it is, we currently cannot interrupt the combat flow and make someone immediately act. RAI.*

Unfortunately, I do not have the time to maintain this mod. As such, I'm also making available all the source files alongside unimplemented icons created with Lykon's icons LORAs for stable diffusion. If anyone wants to copy and maintain, feel free to do so.

As such, I grant permission to everyone to use, copy, change, reference, and even profit from all content in this mod. No need to ask for permission.
