Thank you for the update. I would recommend linking to and clarifying how this interacts with Spells Enhanced - Spiritual Weapon (specifically the move speed addon) and Faster Spiritual Weapon Move Speed. Personally, I'll be using one of the Spells Enhanced move speed addons - the version based on the (F)"SWMS" dev's assessment on appropriate speed adjustments.
Yep, as it should be since otherwise it would make all fights trivial, because of tanking + action economy swings heavily in your favor. Remember you can always hold back on summoning them so you can place them on top of people.
i would love to see an expansion to this idea. you could have a spell similar to magic missile that deals slash damage instead and for its wait animation give it the character motion where they hold their hand with two fingers up near their chest then use the arcane effects you could even add a custom animation of 4 random swords hovering around the character like in your thumbnail.
this whole idea could be made into a class you could call it blade mage or something.
Yeah, it all sounds awesome, even make a cantrip where instead of hurling fireballs you just hurl an spiritual dagger, and also create a lvl 5 spell that uses the watcher greatsword as a base which knocks enemies prone and maims when you strike.
The issue is that it takes a lot of skill, knowledge and time to develop something like this, things which i sadly do not currently possess. But the idea for sure is cool :D
Bro, I'm all about playing Gilgamesh! Question though, can this interact with 5e Spells or are you willing to work with them to make it compatible? Also, have you considered trying to add more weapons or change the vfx of the weapons too? It'd be awesome if there was like a necrotic/ shadow weapon version as well!
Not dev, but I don't see why it would conflict. Usually when I add mods that add or alter spells, I put them below 5e Spells. Only thing is any modifications 5e Spells made to Spiritual Weapon will be overwritten by this.

The mod only changes the Spiritual Weapon spell, it is available for every cleric. Check it out :D
I found out the problem, it was an oversight on my part, I never noticed that the weapons, when summoned, only had a bonus action as their action.
I won´t tire you with the details, but I have uploaded a fix. From my tests it should work fine now!
