Lets talk about balance,
I personally do not like to use spells that completely break the game, making me have to download difficulty enhancing mods in order to use said overpowered spells, thus I also changed a few other things other than summoning more weapons per upcasted level, with the aim to make it more balanced in my eyes.
Action:
Upcast: 1+ summon per upcast + Every 2lvl upcast, weapon gains 8 hitpoints and 1d8 force dmg
Summons duration:
Reasoning:
The reasoning behind these balance changes is that with you being able to summon a total of 5 weapons at once, keeping it as a bonus action would prove to be to much.
"Ok, but why change the duration, and give them more HP and DMG?"
Simple, if you are going to spend an entire 5 or 6 lvl slot, it should feel like an impactful spell, especially the 6lvl slot, you only get 1 slot so it should help you through the entire day.
"fine, but wouldn't that be overpowered?"
No, because of a simple thing I did not change, the weapons mobility!
If you played with these weapons, you know they are terrible at reaching targets, and walking the battlefield because their move range is very limited. I find that perfect since when you start a new combat with the weapons precasted from another previous encounter, they wont be able to reach the enemy backline immediately.
Of course, you can save the spell and simply cast it on a difficult fight, I kept the distance you can cast the weapons meaning you can position them accordingly on the battlefield the first time you summon them, but then the summon duration change did not effect your adventuring day since you only used the weapons on one encounter before long resting.
Final notes about balance:
I understand some people might disagree with these changes, but ultimately, I made this for myself and I am simply sharing it. I hope people like it, but at the end of the day, it is my mod and you can simply choose not to download it.
