hii! recently installed your mod (i love it btw!) thank you for all of your hard work! i wanted to ask if it's a very difficult thing to maybe change the eye colours of some designs myself? ie. make an orange one purple, or something like that
No it's not hard (just boring). DM me with your plans and I'll explain how to do it. If people want a public explanation I'll copypaste it here too, but I don't wanna spam the comment section too much (I try to keep it for bug reports only, but I already go off on tangents too much as it is)
i'm also interested in this so a public explanation would be great if it's not too much of a bother! thank you for this mod(and the modular update!) btw ^^
Okay, I'm assuming you're editing my files instead of making things from scratch. I will provide a template in the Optional Files so that things are easier.
PREPARATION:
1. Download LSLib Toolkit. 2. Download and extract the file I provided
Inside the extracted folder, you'll find three subfolders:
Don't touch the mod folder, unless you know what you're doing. There are three files that you need to edit:
Start with 2, which is commented. Then edit 1 and 3. 3 is where the actual colour/glow/blindness/etc. parameters are defined.
3 is commented too, to explain what the parameters do (at least what I know of it).
After you're done with the edits, save the files.
Then, you need to use lslib to:
1. Convert AureBuenEyeMod_Template.xml back to .loca (overwrite the .loca of the same name in the AureBuenEyeMod_Template\Localization\English folder). There's a localization tab on lslib for that.
2. Convert _merged.lsx back to lsf (overwrite the .lsf of the same name in the AureBuenEyeMod_Template\Public\AureBuenEyeMod_Template\Content\Assets\Characters\Character Editor Presets\Eye Presets\[PAK]_Template folder). There's a tab on lslib for that too.
3. Make the .pak. Source path is the root folder (whereveryouputit\AureBuenEyeMod_Template). Not sure the .pak's gotta have the same name of the root folder (whereveryouputit\AureBuenEyeMod_Template.pak, in this case). I always give it the same name though.
That's it. Load up the .pak with BG3 Mod Manager and it should work
Is there an option to have both the blind eyes and normal versions installed? I want blind eyes specifically for like 2 of my characters but still want to have all the cool eye colors youve added!
(False alarm, I figured it out. Just add both pak files you want, I have both the 100% blindness and the 0% one and it works fine)
There's alot of .paks in the core folder, which one do i install or should i install all of them? if i have to choose, what does the different paks represent. Thank you
If you haven't figured out yet or in case this is helpful to others, Eye colour expansion (Core) .pak file is required regardless. From there, you can choose which % of blindness you want. You can choose to install all of them, or just select a % you like. There are previews for what each % blindness looks like in the mod photos!
Hello—incredible mod! I'm in love with the bloodshot eye collection.
May I ask how one would go about editing the level of bloodshot-ness? I'd love some bloodshot eyes that are less extreme and more natural (kinda like your tav/Durge slept with their contacts in/didn't sleep at all/smoked a fat doobie).
Thank you for your hard work! Also, this would be for personal use :)
Hello, I found your mod through pinterest and the person who posted their Tav has one bloodshot blind eye on the left and one normal on the right and they said they're using this mod but I can't seem to recreate what they did with their eyes. Do you possibly know how I can do this? Thank you.
Chill out dude. This mod has been working for ages for a lot of people. There is always an inherent risk with installing mods. That is, if it's even my mod making your game irreparably crash.
With that said, don't be a b&@*$ to content creators. I don't owe you anything. Be kind and considerate next time, and I'll help you sort out your issues. With that attitude, and laying blame, all I can do is wish you a good life and a serene reinstall
