can this mod fix this problem? mods that show "Has Osiris scripting" will leads to this problem in my case such as https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/125 and https://mod.io/g/baldursgate3/m/show-camp-night-notification#description
That particular fix didn't work for me. I came here to post that I'm getting the "Unable to start new game" error even when the only mods loaded are Script Extender and Script Fix (overrides mods such as Padme's Patches_for_VFX_Heads were fully uninstalled for this test). It didn't occur to me that it might be a conflict with the toolkit. I uninstalled the Toolkit and tried again. Unfortunately, I'm still getting the same error.
I'm not convinced that this is a problem with Script Fix itself. In fact, it seems to me that it's a problem with Osiris. If I remove Script Fix, I can run games (and start new games) with as many as 696 active mods (including SE, Native Mods Loader, Native Camera Tweaks, WASD Movement, and 3 overrides mods), but I cannot include even a single mod that uses Osiris. As soon as I put an Osiris mod into the load order (any Osiris mod, including Script Fix), I get that same "Unable to start new game" error. It's frustrating because some of the mods I want to try out (such as Script Fix, and Ancient Mega Pack + REL, for example) utilize Osiris, which I currently cannot use.
Because this does not appear to be a problem with Script Fix itself, I do not expect you, @yBeast, to help me resolve it (although if you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to try them out), but I wanted to at least let you know that it is an issue for at least one user (myself).
I am getting the same error as him and when I follow the guide, it says the build was successful, but I still get the same error. I can't even get the build to fail.
Ok, can you tell me what mods you're using? And if possible, their order according to whatever mod manager you're using (the in-game mods manager doesn't order them according to the load order, so you'll need a different one). You can PM if you don't want to post it here
As mentioned in the description, this message appears because a game file edit is needed to compile the mod (hence the dependency), but it's not required to play. This entry mainly exists for other mod authors facing the same issue.
tried using it with dnd php all in one, pixellbytes party limit, transmogrification lite and show camp notifications (all of them use osiris script as it says on bg3mm) but i still get the same error. is there something i can try?
You get the message above for all these mods, even when loaded separately? If not, please share your full load order.
Also, include links to the correct mods in question (all of them, if you're posting your load order). You can just copy the links directly from search results as shown below, no need to open each mod listing.
You can also PM me the load order if you’d rather not post it, or any custom .pak files you’ve made.
This happened to me when I directly tried to edit the Gustav_Video.pak by replacing it with another, just with a different file (video). So, thank you for the fix!

the problem have been solved after I removed the toolkit data in the “data” folder
Is this a mod you’re making yourself, or was it published along with its toolkit data?
