Important Note About The Mod. The original Shadow Wizard Subclass mod files are lost (my own mistake, I resinstalled the game without backup, so i lost my saves from the Toolkit). THIS version, the Shadow Weave – Wizard Subclass mod has been created from the files i could extract from the old one...The new version is essentially the same, but with a few adjustments and improvements. Because the mod had to be rebuilt entirely, the UUID has changed—meaning this is technically a different mod.
For safety and stability reasons, it's recommended to uninstall the old mod before using the new one. You can keep the old though, if you're happy with it. But i'm very aware of some bugs in animations, that are now fixed in the new version. You can have both mods installed at the same time, but it's not ideal, as some spells may override each other. Before uninstalling the old mod, make sure that none of your characters are currently using spells or the subclass from it. Use the Mod Uninstaller for it! Changes from the original version:
Minor Changes:
The Ebon Aegis spell has been completely removed. > didn't work proprely but also had similar effect that Armor Of Agathys, so it was pretty useless.
The Fracture spell now has a new animation. > fixes cases where it didn’t work, some people were having an issue.
The Violent Hail spell has been rebalanced. > just some adjustments
Major Changes:
The following subclass features are now properly implemented and unlock at the correct levels:
This is one of the best ideas, something that the game lacks and needs. Shadow Weave deserves its own spell pool. different weave, different god, one that plays a major part in the pilot. Thank you.
Thank you so much, i really appreciate it! And i agree, the Shadow Weave (DnD accurate) is unpredictable, dangerous and corrupted. Honesty the idea came for my Tav's Lore and i ended up with a whole mod, so i'm glad you like it, really! It may not be 100% DnD accurate (the spells i mean) but i liked the idea that when you give (healing), you take damage and that the magic is mostly necrotic.
hi, yes it is... I've had a big issue,i lost my mod files (my fault really, i didn't make any backup while reinstalling the game) so i had to re-make the whole mod. I could've tried to keep the same UUID, but it's too risky, so i'd rather have 2 different mods, but i recommend to use this one! You can use the Mod uninstaller to remove the old one (although you can have both but the spells may override which is not ideal), but make sure to check if your characters doesn't use use my subclass/spells before doing it.
As for the changes;
Minor changes : I completely removed the Ebon Aegis spell. I changed the animation for Fracture spell (that didn't work for some) I rebalanced th Violent Hail spell
Major changes : Now you have Sneaky Attack, Superior Darkvision (lvl 2), Evasion (lvl 7) & Inured to Undeath (lvl 10) as subclass features, which wasn't the case becore.
I'm looking forward to trying it out, for Gale specifically given his backstory. Especially looking forward to seeing the animations, before on the Shadow Wizard mod some of them were not working for me.
Hi, I downloaded the mod.io version of the mod, I don't know if there are differences, however on that version it seems your mod overrides some spells and cantrips, for example I cannot find booming blade or ice knife when the mod is on.
