However there are many problems: The combo is hard to setup, requires multiple turns and DC checks, some enemies are immune to bleeding or have high CON saves or are resistant to slashing damage. Also a lot of fights in act2 take place in the dark (no Darkvision). The Slayer feels very weak. There are also a couple of bugs.
Changes:
- Your Slayer will no longer be removed from the party during cutscenes. You will shift back to humanoid form, then revert after the cutscene. You can also initiate dialogue with some characters (companions mostly) but not NPCs.
- Second Action: do more damage and setup combo faster.
- Darkvision: easier to land your combo, more satisfying act2.
- Slashing attacks ignore Slashing resistance.
- Better CON and STR saves and Advantage on STR Saves and checks.
- Slightly improved STR and Armor class: Keep your to hit chances in line with martial classes.
- Slightly improved DC on most abilities (like Bloodbath or Contagion): Combo is easier to set up, and more likely to work, more satifsfying to use
- Immunity to frightened: a lot of enemies can Frighten you and its absolutely crippling to the Slayer.
- (removed!) Multiattack progression from 1d4 to 1d6 at lvl10. (Made by lolznessmannn currently removed as it were causing bugs)
- Terrifying Lunge deals half damage even when an enemy successfully saves against it.
- Bhaal's Boon now grants 3 turns of resistance to weapon damage on a kill: In vanilla this ability is both very weak and bugged (not working).
Some things to keep in mind:
1) In vanilla the Slayer form gains massive upgrade at level 10, including huge HP boost (to 153) and damage boost on most attacks. I did not change the damage values outside of mutliattack and STR. So if you feel your slayer got a little underwhelming, wait for lvl 10. There is also one hidden ability that is unlocked by talking to certain NPC in act3. This mod does not unlock it either, discover it yourself!
2) This mod is made to more or less fit 5E balancing. This means it cannot compete with obscene builds like Vulnerability Poker, Crit Paladins, Unkillable Barbarians and some other broken builds. Personally, I find those just not fun to play. This mod makes Slayer play as he is intended to be played by Larian, making him feel strong but not OP.
