Sadly doesn't work with multiplayer, at least not with all of the mods I have downloaded. XD I am tracking this for a future update, this is exactly what we wanted for a fire team. :)
Hmmm, that strikes me as odd, as it is a very basic change to the Surface. Both players have the same version of this mod I presume? I'll try to replicate the bug with a friend.
I second this. It's extremely overstimulating and makes it very difficult to even enjoy the game and can be heard from such a far distance. Or can you at least tell us where in the files that sound is located so we can edit it ourselves please?
While standing on a Fire Surface, you will take 1d4 Fire damage from a Standing in Fire status, and additionally you will start Burning, which will ALSO deal 1d4 Fire damage. Burning continues after leaving the Surface, but Standing in Fire will go away the moment you are no longer on the Surface. This mod does NOT change the Burning status. If you want Burning to have its damage increased, check the mod this was inspired by: Fire Surface damage boost.
thx btw can u make some more surface damage like the acid one it so underwhelming in the base game, feel like it should done some dmg together lower defense effect
I've already made a Lightning Surface Damage Boost mod, and I agree about Acid. I've been thinking it through; since it is clearly supposed to do less than Caustic Brine's 1d4 damage each turn, I'm not certain how much damage to give it. 1 flat damage, 1d4, or all the way up to 2d4... what do you think? Maybe also include double damage to objects, to show why it causes the -2 to AC?
how about make it damage base of max hp that way i can be effective even if vs harder enemies, each turn it take a percentage of the max hp before any buff apply
I'm uncertain why Larian decided that an Electrified Surface had to have water to conduct it, but I suspect it was to keep from having to make a separate one for Electrified Water. Stepping into a puddle of Water Surface doesn't apply Wet either, unless it is Deep Water (which is a different Surface in the code), or a Steam Cloud.
I could buff Electrified Water fairly easily. If the Electrocuted condition only persists while on the Surface, then I would simply buff that to 2d4, but otherwise I'd create a Standing in Electricity condition or something, similar to what I did for Fire.

As of 4/15/25 I am unaware of any Patch 8 bugs. Please post any found in the Bugs tab here and I will investigate.
It'd be nice to get the same treatment for Electrified Water, which doesn't even apply Wet for some reason.
