- Please note the cc wings cannot hide during dialogue as they cannot be assigned the equipment property that does this, so may obscure the screen during cutscenes.
- The 'Potion of Soaring Ambition' permanently grants the drinker the fly ability, as the cc wings cannot grant it like equipment does, so this was the simplest workaround.
- The glow on the skintone equipment version of the wings can be changed using dyes like the other versions. The cc wings cannot be dyed, but the glow colour may change with some modded eye colours, such as Feywild Eyes - Eye Color Collection. Modded eye colours can also affect the non-cc versions too.
- The skintone version of the wings for dragonborn sadly do not have a glow, as I couldn't find a dragonborn skin shader with glow capabilities.
- Githyanki and Dragonborn have race-specific materials for the skintone version, the gith version includes spots, and the dragonborn one includes the multiple skin parameters they have. Due to this the dragonborn wings are also effected by draconic lineage markings. I recommend Poesielibre's Dark Urge Scale Collection and Funky Froge Skintones to go with them!
--------
In my quest to acquire everything my favourite fiend has ever laid his clawed hands upon, I've refitted the wings from Raphael's Ascended Fiend form to fit the tall player races, using the rigging and animations from the cambion wings. They are not currently useable by short races.
- The wings are equipment and also available in cc, and available in dyeable, non-dyeable and 'skintone' versions. Non-dyeable uses the vanilla textures for the wings, and the skintone uses the wearer's skin, so the colour won't change if dyed, however the colour of the glow will still change if you use a dye with a glow parameter on them. The dyeable wings are light purple by default as they were made to match the skin tone of my Tav, Vena
- There are 2 versions of each wing variant - one that shows during dialogue and cutscenes, potentially blocking the camera, and one that hides during them. The ones that hide are marked with a little eyeball on the icon.
- Currently there are 4 equip options - cloak slot, underwear slot, underwear slot with succubus underwear included, and camp footwear slot. If you choose the 'hide' version of the wings the harness will also vanish during dialogue, so keep that in mind if you use it as outerwear!
The wings grant the user the Fly action with unlimited uses. The cloak slot version also grants +2 to intimidation and a passive that causes nearby creatures that damage the wearer to be afflicted with burning. The cc version of the wings does not grant the fly ability, which is why the 'Potion of Soaring Ambition' has been included, to grant your characters the fly ability.
Where to find
A container with the wings and their dyes can be found in the Tutorial chest. The UUID for the container is c475aa41-6388-45ba-9bd3-32c5366af3e7.
Dyeing
- I've created several dyes that include glow parameters, so the glow on the wings can be changed. The wings are also compatible with other modded dyes that have glow parameters such as Padme4000's dyes [Link] [Link], or Cerberry's Glowing Accessories and Dyes, and their 'Glow for Vanilla Dyes' addon that adds a glow parameter to all base game dyes.
- The wing dyes can change the glow colour of the non-dyeable wings, but will leave the rest of it as-is.
- If you dye the version of the wings with included succubus harness, it dyes the glow on that too! Matchy-matchy.
- The companion dye options will dye the wings to match each companion's default skintone, as best as I could manage. Each has a glow that matches either their eyes or another notable feature (such as Minsc's tattoo or Karlach's body glow).
- I will not be making dyes for all skin tones as it would simply be too much work. FearTaylor made a guide on making your own dyes, you can follow it to make your own custom dyes for your Tav/Durge if you wish. Alternatively, the mod EasyDye can be used to customise the colours of equipment without needing to make a dye at all.
I will not make these change to match the character's skin tone automatically. That would require making custom skin textures, I am not interested in doing that at this point.Updated on 11/04/25 to add the 'skintone' version which does change with the character's skin.
Potential changes
- The little spines on the back are part of the wings, I have no plans to remove them.
- I have been trying to make these wings work for shorties, with limited success, as they require custom animations. If I manage to figure it out I'll update the mod.
- If there are any other slots you'd like me to make them available in, feel free to request it.
I will not make them available in character creation, as that would make them no longer dyeable. Now available in the beard and tail (beard and hair for dragonborn) slots in cc!
Known issues:
- The tips of the BT4 wings clip through the floor slightly. This is due to the default pose used as the standard vanilla one looks weird to me so I swapped them.
- After using the dye remover you need to un-equip and re-equip the wings for the dye to actually be removed. No idea why.
- The wings sometimes get a little jittery, the animation shaking and stretching should resolve itself quickly. If it persists please consult your cleric.
- The skintone version of the wings will revert to a base colour on the level-up/respec screen for some reason. Just pretend you do not see it.
The wings get jittery upon landing following use of the fly ability if they have a weapon in their hand. I'm working on it but It'll take a while.Fixed in version 1.0.0.65
Requirements:
Game version must be Patch 7 onwards, not compatible with previous game versions.
