Adds meditations while sitting or lying on suitable objects or sitting on the ground. Meditations restore health points > then short rest cooldowns > and finally long rest cooldowns after a certain amount of time. The mod also adds craft-able portable stools and benches. You can also light your own campfire. The first module for adapting the "Food &Rest system" mod from DOS2. Needs Norbyte's Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender!!!
Meditations:
When a character sits down or lies down in a safe place, meditation statuses are successively applied to it:
1.Self-healing - Meditation of Healing Restores 1/8th of the Max HP per turn. Min. Duration – 1 turn;
2.Relaxation - Upon completion, restore all energy points to the level of a short rest;
3.Meditations for Positive Energy - Upon completion, restore all energy points to the level of a long rest.
The total duration of the meditation is about 2 minutes. Being near a campfire shortens the meditation time (see Campfire). Meditation is interrupted if the character gets up or engages in combat or takes damage. Meditation is also impossible in turn-based mode.
Passives "Party resting" and "Sit on ground":
After adding the mod to the game, you will receive two passives "Party resting" and "Sit on ground". If you don't see them right away - they will be added after character sit down or lie down."Party resting" - The characters in the party will independently look for a place suitable for meditation. It may take about one round. The character can use furniture or sit on the ground. The furniture located on surfaces or in clouds (for safety purposes) are not considered suitable. To finish the meditation: group the party again."Sit on ground" - The character sits down on ground in a safe place (avoiding dangerous surfaces).
Duration of the exploration day:
After a long rest, the characters in the group receive 1,500 turns during which they can use meditation. Afterwards they get the status "TIREDNESS" - they can't use meditation, but they can use the usual points of short rest. After completion it will be replaced by the status "FATIGUE" - Movement speed is reduced, and Jump distance is halved. Disadvantage on Intelligence Saving Throws and a long rest will be required.If you take a character into a Party during the day, he will get tired later. But the later you do it, the smaller the difference will be.
Crafting:
A "Sharp hand saw", a "Craftsman kit", nails, wooden boards and "Flint and steel" have been added to the game. You can buy "Sharp hand saw", "Craftsman kit", "Flint and steel" nails and "Craftsman notes" from blacksmiths, weapon and ammunition traders, as well as from some universal traders.You can get wooden boards by sawing wooden barrels or crates. By sawing through wooden crates, you can also get a nails.When sawing crates or barrels the contained items will be destroyed. To not accidentally destroy valuable loot you can use my other mod: 'Already Inspected'
Campfire:
Being near most campfires gives characters the status "By the fire" - reduces meditation time. An exception may be some locally scripted Campfires. The status is applied only if the campfire is lit.Using wooden boards and "Flint and steel", you can make your own campfire.
Compatibility:
The mod is probably partially incompatible with mods that change the same root templates (barrels, crates, campfires). You can place them above or below similar mods - this will only affect the craft and getting the status from the campfires.The mod uses “Focus core” resources according to the permission on the mod page. No “Focus core” installation is required.
Installing:
Extract under "%LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods" - enable via the in-game mod manager.
