Jaheira and Halsin can consume the tadpoles. Maybe hirelings as well, but I haven't tested.
Because the fake tadpole powers are copies, it means they don't replace or affect the real tadpole powers.

Since Version 2.0 has a different UUID from Version 1.X, anyone looking to update from 1.X to 2.0 can have both mods installed. This means it should be safe to update this mod mid-playthrough. Just remember to load Version 2.0 below Version 1.X.
If you do update this way, you need to consume the fake astral tadpole again to regain the Psionic Dominance passive.
Having both Version 1.X and 2.0 when updating shouldn't be necessary, but I wanted to provide a failsafe of sorts since people have had issues updating this mod before.
Despite all these precautions, I still want to say: update mid-playthrough at your own risk.

The Fake Supreme Tadpole file can be used without the Fake Astral Tadpole file, but it'll only grant Tentacle Whip, Extract Brain, and illithid powers that have mind flayer variants. If you're updating mid-playthrough, however, you need the Fake Astral Tadpole file.
Thank you for this mod! Extremely helpful, especially when playing a githyanki. I can't play without illithid powers, lmao, but I also didn't want to break a character. This is so cool!
You mean mind flayer animations on non-mind flayer characters? Not all illtthid powers have mind flayer variants, and from my testing, those mind flayer animations either look wonky (Tentacle Whip) or not play at all, with the non-mind flayer character just standing there (Extract Brain).
I was thinking of spell casting animations like psychic dominance, since (player) mind flayer is humanoid I figured the animation would fit, guess not then
okay, idk y but i tried every mod but none of them seems to work, even when not using tutorial chest mod, they wont appear in the chest even when i put it first in mod manager, i even started a new game and still doesnt work
If you're experiencing this issue with multiple mods, then it sounds like they may not be installed properly, or your modsettings.lsx file is being wiped once the game is launched.
i just compared this mod with the Illithid Power Overhaul. Correct me if I’m wrong. But i see no reason why you shouldn’t maintain this mod again.
You have a cheaty and very useful aspect in your version. And that is not getting flagged by the game as having used tadpoles. That way players can use all tadpole powers and yet dodge the extremely high saving throws later in the game. No spoilers intended. ;)
But also the other mod seems to have more issues. Hence why i would rather like to use your mod. So would you consider maintaining this mod again?
I didn't realize Siaell's mod still flagged the player as having used illithid powers. When I saw in the description that the feature of this mod was built in, I thought it included that as well.
Things have been really busy for me and I really want to clean up the descriptions and images on my mods, but I'll definitely consider maintaining this mod. I did realize the other day that this mod doesn't require SE, and though I think most people use SE, there may be some who don't and may benefit from this mod.

Unfortunately, I don't play on Mac, so I'm not sure. My understanding is you can manually install it.
However, I'm also no longer maintaining this mod since Siaell's Illithid Powers Overhaul 2 does what it does and does it better. I'm keeping it up for people who need this mod to load their saves since this mod can't be safely uninstalled.
Hey, love the mod! I just wanted to know if this removes the "once per long rest" for the Illithid (wisdom) checks in dialogue. So I can show my authrority without needing a nap.
Sadly, it doesn't remove the cooldown, but Cytraen's Tadpole Dialogue Without Resting mod does :) I haven't used it myself, though, so I can't confirm if it still works as of the current version of the game.
As for the illithid powers, I'll look into it when I find some time :) As long as you guys are okay with being unable to uninstall either mod, I'm okay finishing the Supreme Tadpole I was working on months ago.
Are there any known conflicting mods with this? Because I have tried to use both main files and each separately. If I load them both together BG3MM refuses to load any mod at all and modsettings.lsx resets. If I use only the "main" file the mods loads but I don't get any Tadpole. If I load only the Tadpole Stock mod the Tadpole container shows up in the chest but then the container is empty.
I just finished my first playthough (no mods on the first run and all that) and I saw that there are some Illithid powers that are innaccesible (Spoiler: The Full-Illithid versions). Could you please do a version of them? Or, alternatively another kind of tadpole? (supreme tadpole?)
The full-Illithid powers are the following:

As for the full illithid powers, I actually did plan to do make a Supreme Tadpole of Illithid Powers (it was actually mostly done before I stopped), but to be honest, I just thought someone else would have done it by now, and in better way than I could. My modding knowledge is still basic, so this mod and the Supreme version of it would be unsafe to uninstall once used.
I suppose more options couldn't hurt, though! I'll see what I can do when I find some time. Thank you very much for the list! I can compare it to the one I have :)
