    It's patch day! Please be patient as modders test and update their mods. You can see my progress wrt my own mods here.

    This mod has been updated for Patch 8, to account for changes to Wyll's InParty dialog and to make the mod more compatible with the ingame mod manager! Please see the mod page description for more information.

    I love seeing extra romance scenes added for the companions. Really Shadowheart is great for her, and there are other great mods for the other comps. So, thank you for adding this; since I like Wyll, I enjoy the fact that he never really deviates from who he is throughout the game, even though he has good reasons to be completely different or less than virtuous. In fact, my only complaint with Wyll is that you have to push him to save his father or abstain from the pact to save his soul. Thanks for adding this and other great mods; they are highly appreciated.

      Thank you so much!!! And yes re: the pact, I'm currently working on an overhaul of that scene to try and give him more agency in it!! I need to make sure all my currently published mods are working for Patch 8, and then I'm going to go back to working on that ASAP. Thank you very much for caring about Wyll, and for appreciating the work we're doing for him!!!

    I really dont like Wyll. My favourite moment is when you refuse to dance with him and he is so sad. Absolute Cinema.

    On the other note I am impressed by your skill and tenacity. Amazing mod.

      What illness or brainworm do you have to think this is an acceptable comment to make. i'd advise you to go to a hospital asap to get that checked out :(

      Complimenting a mod while insulting the authors' favourite character (that he made the mod for) was not a smart choice.

      Man if you wanted to compliment my skill and us for making the mod you could've just said that. And it's weird as hell to admit you enjoy making him sad, let alone on a mod dedicated to him. Seek help. Nobody needs to see that.

      Listen im not the biggest fan of wyll either (mostly bc his whole character was sidelined by the devs) but you going out of your way to make that negative point just to add a very weak "oh yeah thanks for this though" is so childish and petty. The first half so obviously dismisses any sort of compliment and just makes me wonder why you bothered commenting in the first place. Maybe just give appreciation next time? 
      On another note I think mods like these that add more to wylls story/romance really help make his character feel more real, or at least more compelling to me! Thank you for doing the work the devs didn't <3

    1. Will this still work for patch 8? I'm guessing it'll get updated eventually if not.

    2. Another suggestion for the Wyll Cinematic Universe, if you want one: An option to tell Wyll directly that the Emperor abused Stelmane. I noticed that if you already discussed Stelmane with him beforehand, he doesn't talk about it, and Wyll's the only companion who reacts at all.

      1. Based on the patch notes I'll likely need to update the mod to incorporate the changes made in Patch 8, but the mod might actually be ok to use until I do!! If it's working, it just won't have the changes made by Patch 8, but let me know if you run into any issues!! And yes, the mod will be updated shortly either way!!!

      2. Yeah, the Emperor literally confess that you're a puppet, but Wyll is the only one who reacts? And his reaction doesn't come if you already discussed Stelmane with him? I did NOT like that. Thanks for this!

    For some reason the mod won't seem to work for me. My game is on Patch 7, I deinstalled all other mods and only have the replayable
    version of this mod installed. When I talk to Wyll at the Lower City camp the dialogue option of the mod appears but when I click on it I
    just exit the dialogue but nothing else happens :/

      Hi, are you using the ingame mod manager at all? And is the mod in your active mod load order? In order for the scene to play, you'll need to make sure you use a mod manager that can handle mods that combine override and new files, like LaughingLeader's BG3 Mod Manager! And make sure that the mod is in your active mod load order, and that you've exported your load order to the game. Unfortunately this mod is not compatible with the ingame mod manager, and opening the ingame manager can end up booting this mod out of your load order, prevent the game from accessing the files it needs for the scene.

      The reason I'm asking all this is because this sounds like the mod is only functioning as an override, and can't reference the new dialogue files I made for the scene! Since the mod overrides Wyll's InParty dialogue, it'll display the dialogue option as long as the mod is in your Mods folder. Override mods will always affect the files they're overriding as long as they're in that folder! But because this mod also has new dialogue files for the Brightest Star scene itself, it needs to be in your mod load order; if it isn't, the dialogue option will still be accessible, but the scene itself won't be. Verify that the mod is in your mod load order in BG3MM, reexport your load order to the game, and then try starting the scene without opening the ingame mod manager beforehand. If you're still having issues triggering the scene, let me know! It does sound like this is an issue with the scene only being installed as an override, but we can keep troubleshooting if that's not what's going on.

      I was using Vortex and now also got the BG3 Mod Manager to try with this mod but I think the ingame mod manager really was the problem. Since I have saved with mods the game always prompts me to check all mods before loading a save and I had two mods installed that also exist in the ingame manager. I always clicked all the boxes but this time I excluded those two mods and voilà it works. Thank you for the help :)

    As of right now in Patch 7 the scene wont start for me :( i have the replayable one installed and it is active in BG3MM but whenever I go to click the dialogue it just says a quicksave was saved. I currently have the poly mod from the official toolkit and idk if that has been a known issue? But I un-partnered everyone else before clicking it and it still didn't work </3

      Oh gosh, hi sorry for the late reply! I don't think the polyam mod would necessarily be a compatibility issue, but if you're using the ingame mod manager for it that could be yeeting this mod out of your mod load order, even if you've set it to be active in BG3MM. Unfortunately this mod, like my Hug Your Companions mod, is really not compatible with the ingame mod manager, and opening the manager at all will boot them out of the load order (I've explained a bit more about that in the comments on the Hug Your Companions page). However, because the mods are partially overrides of the characters' existing dialogue, the dialogue option will still show up as long as the mod is in your mods folder! It just won't be able to access the new dialogue files I made for the scene.

      That's so weird about the quicksave notification though...does it actually create a quicksave, or do you just get notified for it? Usually issues with the dialogue option being there, but the scene not playing are a result of the mod not actually being in the mod load order (including if you opened the ingame mod manager before trying to trigger the scene) but the quicksave notification is giving me a bit of pause... Do you have a mod that saves on starting new dialogue? If you can, it'd help a lot if you could send me a mod load order so I can see if anything else might be conflicting with this mod. I'd also recommend testing the mod by reexporting your mod load order to the game and then trying to trigger the scene Without opening the ingame mod manager before doing so; that should hopefully prevent any ingame mod manager issues!

      (...I'm sorry if this is a bit wall of text 😅 tl;dr this might be an issue with the ingame mod manager! But if you're not using the ingame mod manager, send me a mod load order and I can see if something else might be conflicting.)

    im really in love with the concept of this mod! i even rolled back to a previous save so i could get to the docks camp to trigger it... but i can't seem to figure out how? i've deleted the greeting fix mod, and yours is in my load order... i've done a few long rests back to back just in case i need to wait? but i don't see anything. i have... a lot of mods (157... how...) to sort through if i need to disable some for compatibility. any tips or tricks i'm missing? a specific load order? something??

    regardless, amazing work, i can't believe how much effort you put into this!! incredible~

      OK well i took out all my mods except what i needed for appearances, and it's appearing just fine! not sure what mod was the problem, but at least i can view the scene now <3 (thank goodness for other people's saves so i didn't have to redo anything!)
