Thank you for getting back to me! Yes quite a few. Glad to know it's working for others, I'll try playing around with my load order, that might help. Any advice on what mods might be causing conflicts would be appreciated tho!
Whelp, I managed to sort that one out. However, now if I dual-wield it (With a staff for example) It.. well it doesn't exactly hold right. It's like side on at all times, and backwards. And when sheathed it sits parallel to the ground.
Sorry for the slow reply, I've been absorbed by real life and my master's thesis. I'll be working on a fix for the bladesong impedement that seems to have popped up after patch 8. I was not however able to replicate that issue while dual wielding. See the screenshots below: https://ibb.co/fz4MFL24 https://ibb.co/fz6snM8b During modding I had the Hadhafang from my armoury mod behave similarly, even when wielded alone. I fixed the code and model rotation and on a new play-through and the error went away. I am now unsure what causes this.
Good to hear you are making an Anduril mod as well. There is one currently on the nexus (https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2132) but the model's dimensions are completely wrong -- the blade is about 4.5x longer than the hilt of the blade which makes it look more like a thrusting sword like an estoc and wouldn't be practical to be swung around like a longsword.
Heyo! Have you checked out the Elven Weaponry - Blades mod? I want to use this mods 3D model version of Anduril, which I think it is rather nicely done already. I measured the model's proportions to roughly 2.8 to 2.9 Blade to Hilt ratio, according to the official replica sizing, the blade to hilt ratio should be about 3.3 (Anduril Replica). Yet I think that the model looks really good ingame, much closer to the real thing than the 4.5 ratio the older mod is using.
Hey! In case you didn't see, I uploaded my first version of the weaponry mod including Andúril. I did however find a new 3D model that I want to try and implement. I'll keep you posted on the progress soon. Cheers!
Thanks! I did see the other model as well on the Elven Weaponry mod. It does look like a weirdly stretched out version of Anduril? Almost like a video playing with the wrong aspect ratio haha (especially in the pommel area). But if you have a newer model that looks closer to the original LOTR model, I'll keep my eye open for it! Thanks
I know it's not Lord of the Rings but would you be able to do "Aerondight" from The Witcher 3? I think it's one of the most stylish and striking swords, but so far I haven't found a mod with it.
I'll definitely keep it in mind, but there's so many lotr weapons and maybe eventually armours I would want to do first. Yet, Aerondith does sound cool.
Hi, awesome model, i always enjoy lotr weaponry mods. Would it be possible to make a version of Glamdring with lightning charges stacking on each hit with the weapon instead (or as well as) of using spells or cantrips ?
Heyo! Thanks for the comment! And yeah I just coded an add on you can use to that effect, it might make the weapon a bit overpowered though, so if you feel alright with that go ahead. If not just unistall the add on.
Thank you for your quick answer and work, but I have tested the addon version of the sword and it doesn't seem to change anything from the standard version. Anyone having the same issue ?
I'll get around fixing it tomorrow then. The add on should overwrite the weaponsstats if you loaded it afterwards, but maybe I made an error. Gonna make it invisible for now and get back to you.
Heyo! Thanks for the comment! I love well proportioned and more realistic designs as I am a hinstorical fencing instructor irl! Glad you enjoy that too!
Looks awesome, thanks for the great work. I've been hoping for something like this since day one, haha!
One thing I noticed was that it doesn't seem to play well with the "Transmog Enhanced" mod. I can transmog another weapon to take on the glamdring appearance but the weapon becomes unequipable. Not sure if that's on this mods end or if it's on transmogs end. Either way I'm pumped to finally have glamdring in the game. Thanks again!
I have not used the "Transmog Enhanced" mod at all, so I cannot say how the weapon model needs to be formatted, the model I found uses several different meshes and therefore textures for each type. If I get around to checking out the compability with "Transmog Enhanced", I'll make an update, but in the mean time you could always edit the stats if you wanted some other weaponboost you like. Cheers
Edit: I just checked out the Transmog Enhanced page and in their description it states that some items might be made "weird" so they do not behave nicely and that people could let them know of any items that do not work properly.
I am working on an armoury mod with several lotr swords now, will try and see if I can patch Glamdring for the Transmog Enhanced but who knows if I can. I'll keep you updated on the progress.
Please don't feel too much pressure to get things sorted out with Transmog as it already sounds like you got a lot on your plate. That Armory mod you're working on sounds awesome, I'll definitely be looking for that on my next playthrough. Either way thanks again for all the great work.
Fantastic idea, been hoping for this, or just more LoTR weapons since I found that older Anduril mod. Wasn't among the ones mentioned you do mean to do ideally but what about also the cool Elven dagger Aragorn uses maybe as well? Either way look forward to eventually seeing the others.
Hey! Thank you for the feedback! To be honest I do have a BG3 ported model for the Anduril Sword from kharneth which I may use, so this will cut down dev time a lot on this. As for the elven dagger, I'd like too but I wasn't able to find a 3D model I could download. If you find one I'll add it to the list.
I will keep an eye out and maybe DM a creator of a model I saw, it just wasn't available for download. I got full permission to reuse the assets for Andúril, Sting and Orcrist so I am working on those three simultaneously now!

Nice work on the modeling
Oh the VFX isn't to your liking?
I guess I could upload a secondary version without it. Or an optional patch.
No Annoying VFX

The Witcher Outfits mod has a wolven silver sword model that looks pretty similar to Aerondight from the game.
That said a more "historically accurate" Aerondight probably would have looked more like a Roman short sword...

I fixed the add on! Enjoy!
Not exactly on my to do list, and you'd have to be more specific on which sword/weapon you wanted?
would be cool if other modders with similar aspirations followed less gooffy proportions
Glad you enjoy that too!
