Description

I really like the look of game scimitars, specially for elves. But it feels lackluster as main weapon for combat characters. This mod try to address that. I create a new set of weapons that mix rules of longswords and scimitars. Together with a new set of properties for them that, hopefully, make them more useful in game without feeling like OP items.

General Characteristics:

-They use longsword proficiency (This is a personal arbitrary option because I want elves have proficiency with it)

- They are finesse weapons. Also light and versatile. That mean they can be dual wielded, one hand and shield or two handed.

-Base damage is lower than longsword (1d6, 1d8 when using two hands) (With the exception of the legendary one because, well it's legendary for something). In compensation all have stackable improved critical passive.

- There's three basic models (common, uncommon +1 and rare +2) that can be purchased and five (uncommon, rare, 2 very rare and legendary) special ones that can be found around the world. (Optional: Tutorial chest crate with all models inside)

-The model size has been increased (mostly in lenght) to similar as a longsword. Optional no versatile models retain old size (base game), see customization below.

Location

The basic models can be bought at different locations:

-Common: Dammon at the Grove (Act I)

-Uncommon (+1): Brem at Zhentarim hideout and Blurg at the Miconic colony (Act I)

-Rare (+2): Quartermaster Talli at Last Light Inn and Lann Tarv at Moonrise Towers (Act II) and Fytz the Firecracker at Lowtown (Act III)

The location of the special ones are:

-Forestneedle Blade: Looted from Flind on the Risen Road (Act I)

-Vyper's Blade: Reward from Zarys for 'Find the Missing Shipment' (Act I). Together with the Zhentarim Rogue Set if you use Elven Weaponry - Rogue. (Not require). The same as the daggers from the set, this weapon is dyable.

-Windwalker Blade: Looted from the spectator in the Underdark (Act I)

-Moonranger Blade: Looted from a locked chest in the abandoned house by the river just east of the Last Light Inn. Same one with the Penumbral Armour. Together with the Moonranger Armor if you use Elven Weaponry - Ranger. (Not require)

-Spellweaver Blade: Looted from Malus Thorm in the House of Healing (Act II)

-Eilistraee Gift: Chest in Mason's Guild Basement. The same one with the Helmet of Arcane Acuity. Note: This one is an actual longsword.

-Corellon's Spirit: Chest on the Rainforest (The same one that have Nyrulna) (Act III)

Customization

You can change between Versatile and No Versatile versions using the Elven Smithing Tool (not included, separate download. Follow the link). Just use the tool on a weapon to turn it non versatile, use it another time if you want it to be versatile again.

Since patch 6 and latest updates, crafting is even more nitpicking with equipped items and you'll recibe an invalid combination and lost the item when trying to customize an equipped item. Always unequip items before crafting. Should be solved from 1..4.1

Note: Non Versatile is only useful for characters with Duel without shield proficiency (sword bard only, I think) or for RPG purposes. In all other cases is better either 2H or 1H with shield.

From Version 1.3 no versatile is also useful if you prefer original size (as long as you don't mind losing the two hands option).

New models from Version 1.4 will also have smaller size if making no versatile, similar to base game scimitars.

Installation

BG3 Mod Manager is recommended.

Use either the Vortex Mod Manager or the BG3 Mod Manager and install this mod.

Make sure you deploy your mods if using Vortex or export the mod list if using BG3 Mod Manager.

For Update just overwrite old version pak with the new one. If you want to be 100% sure everything goes smoothly do the following:
-Remove equiped weapons from this mod from your characters (you can leave them in the inventory, no need to store them), save your game and exit.
.-Install the new version (just overwrite old one).
-Load, you can reequip your weapons as you wish.
As I said, nothing of this should be needed, I update like hundreds of times while testing just overwritten the old file. But the above proccess should be the correct one to update items mods.

Uninstallation
should be fine. If you want to be 100% sure everything goes smoothly use a mod that create a temporary container, like tutorial chest summoning. Place items in it and wait for it to vanish into the void with them. Save, exist and remove the mod. Remember to deploy/export after uninstalling mods

Optional

The Elemental attacks file will make it once per battle instead of once per turn. Require main file and load after it.

If you want the items to appear in the tutorial chest use: Elven Weaponry - Tutorial Chest. Load it after all main files from weaponry series.

If you want to spam them with cheat engine or some other tool the UUID codes are:
