Rhonin25, cheers for the update, much appreciated! Especially in multiplayer sessions, removing the temptation of these items has lead to way more item choice.
Sloupockgames, yes that is how it is in D&D, however you can't respec *practically at will* in D&D either. This mod is a fantastic middle ground for balancing these problematic items while retaining plenty of usefulness
Plus, if you have that outlook, there are plenty of home-brew changes Larian put in the game, have you modded all those out to get this purist D&D experience you seem to be championing? I highly doubt it.
Sure, but those items are broken as hell in this particular video game (although they aren't all that's broken). Having to make difficult decisions when building a character is fun for some people, rather than just being able to max out all stats.
Thanks for sharing! If you have the time, t would be cool if you could add similar changes for strength elixirs also. For example +3 STR (max 21) for Hill giant elixir?
Thanks for the reply. I might be able to create such a mod. Though it would feel a little unfocussed to add a change to potions to this mod. It would make more sense to create another mod I guess is what I am saying. For me, the potions didn't bother me, since they still expend resources and only last until long rest. Though there is the "5e Potions" mod that in my opinion does the best thing by making the potions behave like in tabletop (reduced durations)
Re-release with a new and improved version! Many thanks to Dertasso for pointing out the fact that the Handmaiden's Mace needed to be implemented and Jarol for the input of following the Design of uneven Stats, being converted to uneven bonuses. Hope people enjoy ^^
