Please don’t ask questions already answered in this post for the sake of keeping things organized. Patch 8 is a stressful time for mod authors. Please be considerate.

Does this mod work with Patch 8? Yes.
Will this mod be available through the in-game mod manager and/or on console? Yes, a port is forthcoming.
Can I use this mod via the in-game mod manager and/or alongside mod.io mods? Yes, however I personally still recommend using BG3MM instead.
I’m experiencing an issue, is it caused by this mod? Unless the issue is directly with something added by this mod, the answer is likely no. I have tested all content added by my mods before releasing the Patch 8 updates.
If you’re still experiencing issues, please feel free to report them - however there are a number of issues that are most likely not caused by any of my mods as they are either unrelated to the content they add, or issues that frequently occur with new patches. This includes UI issues, pre-Patch 8 saves not loading, “choices pending” in CC, and Durge/nude NPCs on load.
Hey astralities :) I would like to know the color code for subtle flecks, platinum and peach frost pls if you'll be so kind and have the time ♥️ I would like to color the body tattoo from unique tav, the dragon scales to the same color, i looked it up in the code but i don't know which ones are the subtle ones :) Best regards & thank you :)
Apologies for the delay - these are the color values used. Please be aware, though, that they might not translate 1:1 to tattoos as they're modified quite heavily by a number of different things (e.g. metalness).
This is likely a confliction with some other mod and given some more time I'll try to figure out which but unfortunately I can't scroll down to see all the scale colors
Unfortunately this is less of a true conflict and more of an UI issue. This may happen if you use any other mods that add color options to this menu, or alternatively any mods that add existing color options to other classes/races, as currently that results in duplicate entries which in turn lengthens the list of options to the point the UI overflows. :(
Hey do you know what sections affect this limit? bc I can have a ton of hair and face mods and it shows just as many colors as when I just have your mods enabled
From what I've seen I believe that at this point it's just this specific color menu. Other color menus used to do this as well before being adjusted by ImprovedUI, so I believe this one has just slipped through the cracks.
Every time im desperately trying to search for a mod you end up making it. Now i can have my sorc durge bite and scratch and i can give the right colour to the scales. Just fab work all around < 3
I have a question. Have you by any chance tested this mod with this Half-Dragon mod (Uploaded by johauna)? Your mod changes sorcerer scale colors. Im pretty sure the half dragon mod uses those options for its cc, but I dont want to break anything by trying them both together (especially sense I am mid honor run with my half-dragon and don't want to lose my 40ish hours by using the magic mirror and inadvertently corrupting it.)
I've been using both with no problem, but while the Half-Dragon mod uses the same Draconic sorcerer color option menu for the face, it actually uses the horn color menu to determine the color of the scales on the body. So I'm able to use this mod with johuana's Half-Dragon mod without any problems, but just know that the colors will only apply to the face. If you want to change the color of the scales on the body, you'll need to find a mod that adds horn colors.
thanks for the info. Im gonna go looking for one. But Im gonna add this in the meantime. do you mean something like horns of fearun? just something that adds horns and lets you change the color?
So I'm have an issue using these two mods together. I end up not being able to scroll through all the color options when I load this mod after Half Dragon, and when I load this one before, I lose the majority of these new color options...and I still miss a few of the colors on the bottom row that are covered by the confirm button.

Not sure if this is a UI issue that could be solved with some scrolling here? I know nothing about creating mods, so I'm just spit balling. This obviously isn't a bug on either mod's end, but for what it's worth, if someone else is using Half Dragon, this mod, and making a Draconic Bloodline sorcerer... you might run into this, too 😉
I'm having the same problem. I agree that it probably doesn't have anything to do with Half-Dragon or this mod itself, but rather it's probably just that the default UI for the Draconic Sorcerer's scale color isn't designed to handle so many options. Maybe Half-Dragon is also adding new scale colors, which is worsening the issue for us?
For the record, when I was looking into the problem, I saw that the same sort of thing happens when we add head presets, because the default UI can only handle so many options, which is why ImprovedUI is almost always a requirement. But I don't think ImprovedUI makes the same changes to the Draconic Sorcerer color menu, besides for renaming it to "Draconic Bloodline".
Also by the way, I appreciate the info about switching the load order to see more of the color options this mod has.
NoxxSerpens, I'm pretty sure that the Half-Dragon mod itself, without needing to add a horn mod, has the horn options menu in character creation, where you can go and pick out a horn color (even without actually having horns on your character) and the color will apply to the scales on the body. What I should have clarified is that if you want to have the large variety of color options that are anything like what are offered here in Draconic Scales - Color Expansion, you'll need to find a horn mod that also adds horn colors. I think I was able to do it with Some New Horns (make sure you're using Patches for CC Mods), but you can probably do it with P4 Custom Horn Colours.
Bear in mind though, that adding too many more horn colors might lead to the same scrolling problem we're seeing with the draconic scales.
It's unfortunate I can't make it so the face and body scales are colored via the same method, as that'd be the best option to offer. It's limitation on how the scales are done on the body. I've specifically added colors for the Horns slot to match vanilla Draconic face scales colors for this reason. My mod does not add new Draconic scales colors, so they shouldn't be interfering with each other.
Apologies for the delay on responding to this issue, I was on vacation and didn't have a chance to respond properly!
Indeed this is some sort of UI limitation; in fact things like this used to happen to many, many CC menus (e.g. heads, hair colors) before Improved UI adjusted them to scale in size when additional options are added through a mod. As there hasn't been many mods that have added colors to Draconic Sorcerers' facial scales, this menu does not seem to have been adjusted yet. This would be something that would be best added through Improved UI, as a lot of UI edits will conflict with other mods that edit the UI, so hopefully this is something they might consider supporting once they return to updating Improved UI (as the last update for patch 6 has already been released).
I can do that in the future! Currently we're a little limited when it comes to color options as the UI doesn't expand automatically as it does for other colors, causing too many additional colors than this mod currently includes to overflow and become unselectable - but once this is alleviated in some way I'll happily do so.
Would it be difficult to modify or add to the mod to change body scales for mods that add those in, like Half Dragon, etc? I hate having face scales be one color and body another.
As an author of Half-Dragon mod, this sadly cannot be done in a way to customize the bodyscales and face ones through the same method. Astra would need to make their color presets available for Horns slot, the same way I did it in my mod, adding matching colors for bodyscales with the vanilla face scale colors.
I'll be adding an optional file that adds these same colors as horn colors as well so that you can have matching face and body scales when playing a Half-Dragon. :) It'll remain an optional file however as the way Horn colors have to be added (afaik) can cause conflicts with other mods, so I'd like to avoid adding a conflict point for a feature many people may not use.
First I have to say that I love all your mods so much! I use a bunch of them.
I'm having a slight problem with this mod: for whatever reason it is only showing the first 12 colors when I'm in CC (Shadowrealm-Umbra). I can't figure out why that would be, I'm an inexperienced modder, but I have a bunch of other cosmetic/cc/race/class mods installed, and everything shows up fully. Things like your hair and skin color mods and the color grid shows up fine. I'm using BG3 Mod Manager. Any ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated!
i had the same issue but in my case it was because i had the elven anthology mod (from the same creator) in the load order after this mod instead of before so if ur also using both mods this might fix it!!

And thanks for the insight on ImprovedUI! That's kind of what I thought was going on. Maybe we'll get that niche update someday :D
