How would I go about changing the damage of this weapon? I have a mod unpacker tool, and I can unpack it, I'm just not sure where to find and change the damage.
It will depend on what you want to change, in the Weapons text file, there is the base damage of the weapon, the elemental damage is in Status_Boost, it is a status that should have in the name something related to Elemental damage.
Hi there.. I LOVE this mod.. Just like the Thor God of Thunder Mod where you can literally fight with Mjolnir and Storm Breaker with unique moves that don't just feel like reused assets, this one also feels like that. Though I have.. just a tiny gripe. Could.. you perhaps make the handle thinner so its not clipping through my character's fingers? I understand if you feel its a non-issue. Also I should mention I had a situation where i encountered a possible ambush, used the axe throw move and the axe didn't come back, is that normal? Is it because I used it outside combat perhaps?
Also, you might have noticed one of the only good God of War mods here is the Blades of Chaos one.. however, while the appearance is incredible, it has no special moves or anything.. do you think you could do a working of that with stuff like maybe a reskinned arrow pull for the whole chain thing? or a wide ranged sweep attack? And have it gain bonuses for barbarians? Again, I know NOTHING about modding so.. I don't know if this would be too much to ask or anything. XD
The 3D modeling issue is complicated, the game has its limitations and the Model that the Mod has was a contribution, I would have to discuss it with the creator.
And the problem with throwing the axe out of combat and sometimes not returning is a game problem. It also happens with other linked throwing weapons :/
And regarding the Blades of Chaos, it would entail a lot of work in animations and VFX, plus you have to play with the concept of forcing the wielder to have both swords equipped at the same time to make everything work. The Blades of Chaos are by far Kratos' most eye-catching weapon, which makes it the most difficult to replicate, especially in its most basic dynamics, such as its basic attacks. Personally, I don't know anything about animations or VFX, so I haven't really considered anything with the Blades of Chaos.
That's understandable. the Mod that's currently out there already has the proper look though, it looks amazing.. however it feels weird using the blades and not having them whip out on chains you know? XD
I know! That's exactly why I haven't gotten around to it, because I have several ideas about it, but new animations and their respective hitboxes need to be implemented to make those spectacular area attacks that characterize the Blades of Chaos work. I don't even know if it's really possible with the current Mod tools for BG3 :/
Maybe you could possibly rework one of the Thorn-Whip-spells to have like the blade on the end of it? Or rework that one Crossbow move that slings out and drags a person closer, since that is a move you use in God of War four/ragnarok.
At the code level, these are spells, and they have their own animations and unmodifiable effects. What the Blade of Chaos would need is a strong animation work, it is not a simple copy and paste, you need to know about 3D animation and how to implement it in BG3
ahhhh.. so that's the crux. Well if it helps, at the very least I know some spells that are already in base game that might work even if it isn't perfect. For example- Searing Smite/ Also one of Raphael's spells- Diabolic Chains. I use a modded Talisman that gives the ability to use that spell with the current Blades of Chaos mod so it feels like I'm doing a chain sweep attack.
With the last version 2.0.1, i download the old version (before the last 2.0.0) and my game work again, i have the last version of BG3 and many mods and libraries(232). Sorry for my poor english!
I need to clarify the issue of incompatibility with versions prior to 2.0.0.
If you were playing with a version prior to 2.0.0, and you want to update to the latest version, you need to first load your game with the pre-2.0.0 version, then remove the item from your inventory and the stage, destroy it, either by throwing it into the void from the inventory or by using an auxiliary mod, after that, remove the pre-2.0.0 version of the mod, and now install the post-2.0.0 version and install the No-Immersive patch. If you did everything right, you should now be able to get the axe in its 2.0.0 version.
The error occurs because the game cannot load a save if an item or object is missing from the game files, and said item or object is in the possession or inventory of the player's party or one of their inactive campmates, the pre-2.0.0 and post-2.0.0 axe are technically different items.
The problem arises because the pre-2.0.0 and post-2.0.0 versions have different UUIDs, since when remaking the axe in the Official ToolKit, I had problems reusing the original UUID, I made the decision to use the new UUID that the ToolKit assigned me in order to continue working on the Mod.
Sometimes the object remains on the stage, and that alone causes errors, Larian took so long to implement official mod support because of how easy it is to break (literally) the game... try this: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/9701
Maybe it's a p7 thing, and idk if you're still supporting this mod or not, but I've tried both the Dammon and the tut chest versions, and they make it so that I can't initiate conversation. I click on an NPC or companion, it acts like we're going to talk, and then nothing. I also can't zap back to camp, tho I can fast travel.
This week I'm busy, I'll check it out this weekend. Do you have any other mods installed besides this one? If it's not a bother, could you try this mod in isolation from the rest?
Loving the axe so far on karlach but I've noticed something odd with it. For some reason it only gains the scaling cold damage when throwing the axe. If I attack normally with it it just does the usual weapon damage +enhancement bonus +str mod. The bonus cold damage doesnt even show up on the tooltip
Did you download the latest version? and if you have, please try to buy or spawn the axe again. If the problem persists, could you please explain in more detail when you are getting the bug?
