There are quite a few parts of Act 3 Durge's crazy smile that this mod doesn't seem cover. It worked really well (maybe it didn't work and Act 2 just didn't have as many Durge smiles?) up until (spoilers for Durge Act 3 and Guardian conversation):

You find out that you're Bhaalspawn and straight after your vision you get this:
And later while talking with the Emperor (possible romance scene) they talk about Bhaal and his plans for Baldur's Gate if Durge doesn't stop him, where you get this:
No matter how many times I reinstall, or whether I use this mod with your other (stoic), it doesn't change anything. The files I'm testing on are the "Less_Crazy_Smile_Durge version 1.1" and "Less_Smiley_Tav version 1.0" on game version Patch 6 Hotfix 25. I didn't change anything about my loadorder and would like to attach a save file, but my game is so loaded with mods it'd be impossible to clean and share properly. Would LOVE to know if I'm doing anything wrong or if there's a way for me to apply the neutral expressions to these. Thank you so much <3
Edit: Did some more testing and "Less_Crazy_Smile_Durge_Scared version 1.0" works perfectly, though my character looks a tad sillier than the crazy smiles xD I'm wondering what the heck I'm missing with the neutral ones? Also, the head is "Toarie's Avenall" human from New Character Creation Presets WIP version V1.6.1. I know for your Stoic mod this head uses the male elf animations but I'm not sure if that applies to this mod too. I tested with "Less_Crazy_Smile_Durge version 1.0" and still got the crazy smile too.
i'm gonna test and see if there's anything wrong with the mod (of maybe the head uses some specific animations of other race) even though if one version of the mod works on one particular head, other version of other mod should also work on the same head (i was editing the animations of the same races. unless i've missed some files...) so idk, i'll check and see if it works for me on the head you mentioned
i have no idea what i did wrong during the installation process but while the mod does work, some of the unhinged smiles get replaced with fear of all things. during the alfira cutscene, for example, while the narrator speaks about getting away with murder lumbering style, my character proceeded to use the most terrified expression within the game - like jaw open, eyes wide. what even would cause that? is this an intended feature or am i stupid
Thank you for this! I understand why Durge has unhinged smiles, but they can be a bit too much.
I'll probably eventually find out myself when I get to this part, but I wonder if Tav's smile mod affects romance scenes and interactions? Specifically, when Tav/Durge gives a bashful look at their lover.
i haven't tested it in the romance scenes (and havent played through the whole game after releasing the mod yet) so i can't say for sure but since it's a mod that changes the files themselves, it'll affect all scenes, including romance ones
Can't seem to get this to work on my Half-Elf Durge, testing at the "Us" encounter she's still smiling like a crazy person. I've tried but with no success:
Less_Crazy_Smile_Durge_Scared
Less_Crazy_Smile_Durge
Less_Crazy_Smile_Durge_Shadowheart
Less_Crazy_Smile_Durge_Strong_Bodies
I am using Heart's Heads(the Ligeia head) so I wonder if that is using a different animation base? Also, I am using the Unique Tav Version, so would that be causing issues maybe?
this mod might've been outdated after patch 7 (i haven't tested it much after patch 7, so i'm not sure. you can try "activating" the mod in the in-game mod menu to see if it helps) and if it won't work, then i've had plans on remaking all facial expression mods in the toolkit to make them fully compatible with all modded stuff anyway. i might start releasing them soon
It's a simple file swap mod that should appear in the overrides, so it should work unless developers changed the paths to the files that were replaced by the mod. I haven't tested all my mods on patch 7 yet, but stoic expressions seemed to work for me
Thank you for an amazing mod! P.S., I love your profile picture. Gortash is bbg :3 (Unless that isn't Gortash and my Gortash brainrot has bled into every crevice of my life, in which case I offer the gravest of apologies)
I'm glad you're enjoying the mod ;D and about the profile picture. it's some cool random picture i found back in 2014 and never bothered to change it but now i'm starting to see the Gortash himself ;D
Hi this is a great mod, unfortunately my elven Durge keeps smiling like the crazy dude he is, i'm using the Kael head from Vemperen's Other Heads Repaired with the T2 body type, it works great with Stronger bodies but not the normal ones.
i tried with the Less_Crazy_Smile_Durge (the 22 August) file, and also tested with the Shadowheart version,, i also tried with the files in Override section and Load section but my Durge keeps smiling like a psycho 😭

But let me know if you'll encounter any issues with that
Can the Durge and Tav files be used together? From the description, it seems like the Durge file only covers the crazy smiles, right?

which file you used?
