Overall Notes - Famously a rather underrated class due to not scaling well with the other martials and not providing a lot after level 3. Apart from thief's fast hands and assassin's niche in surprise encounters, rogue does not really have much to make it stand out. I tried to build in a feature to help rogues stand out on their gloves called Uncanny Agility that would provide an additional bonus action to any characters with Uncanny Dodge (which rogues get at level 5) but that does not have Fast Hands. The idea behind this is to incentivize other non-thief rogue sub-classes while not spiralling too much out of control since the features is only available on gloves. Generally this class will fair well at two-weapon fighting due to all the bonus actions it gets.

Arcane Trickster (Trickster Set) - Famously one of the weaker classes in the vanilla game, I took a similar avenue with this subclass that I took with Eldritch Knight. I sought to provide features that power up the arcane trickster's spell casting when they pull of sneak attacks. This subclass also has a large focus on dealing critical damage through spells and will have the highest critical hit threshold that is specific to spell casting.

Assassin (Lethal Set) - Assassins will largely focus on a few key features: being unseen, hitting the target before they even get a chance to act, and landing powerful critical hits. I realize that optimally an assassin's play style will revolve around trying to maximize the amount of combats that are surprise rounds and so traits that lower critical hit threshold are not actually all that helpful when assassin is played correctly, but I designed the set with the assumption that sometimes the assassin will not be in a surprise round and they should still be hitting critical hits fairly often as part of their play style.

Swashbuckler (Corsair Set) - This subclass has a lot of flavor baked into it as a pirate-type character. So I sought to create a set that reflected a swift and sturdy pirate that fights well in the water. Obviously there is no water combat in this game but fighting when wet is sufficient for this purpose.

Thief (Infiltrator Set) - This rogue is the most mobile of the subclasses. It will move around with no difficulty to get good angles to hide and then land blows on enemies that take advantage of their stealthiness. Furthermore, the thief is more adept at debilitating and disabling their opponents.
