Overall Notes - For monk I generally did not include a weapon set because the class will typically want to go unarmed. If in the future I feel like a subclass will feel better with a weapon set though I will include it. I also went a slightly unorthodox way with Way of the Four Elements because I did not want to try and cram four elements worth of features into one item set. I am not entirely sure if all the elements are balanced with one another though (Earth is probably the most powerful one but I'll keep an eye out for it).

Four Elements - As noted, the four elements are split into their respective elements because I did not want to try and pour too many ideas into one set. Air (Vortex Set) focuses on manoeuvrability and debilitating foes with Off Balance. Earth (Terran Set) focuses on reducing incoming damage and control while retaliating against foes that dare strike you. Fire (Phoenix Set) focuses on pure firepower, generally increasing damage through fire damage and more critical hits. Water (Wave Set) has a slight focus on reducing incoming damage but also keeping allies healthy. The water set is probably the least cohesive and I might revisit it in the future.

Open hand - The items in this set are themed around various animal fighting styles that make the monk better at unarmed attacking. The legendary armor is more unique in that it attempts to emulate someone who achieves perfect mastery by giving the monk 20 in all stats. This is not necessarily powerful for the subclass but feels fitting for someone who achieves perfection in mind, body and soul.

Shadows - The items in this set are themed around staying and benefiting from being in the shadows. This monk fights best in the darkness and the features of the items reflect that.
