Going forward with version 4.6 (deja vu), I've decided to remove skin pawn 00 elements from my essential files. The benefits of skin pawn 00 is not worth the increased complexity of this mod, which leads to users reporting more crashes, asking more questions, etc.
Reminder that modules here do nothing by itself. If you have issues with my compatibility add-on patch, or Additional Skin Slots or Additional Emblem Slots, browse their FAQs and ask questions at those modpages, not here.
By default, the Compatibility Mod adds all currently available addon mods to the plane selection list. You'll need to follow this guide to manually disable certain addon mods you don't want to use.
Hello! I'm not used to this yet, but is it supposed to display every Add-On planes? since i only download one Add-On plane but this mod since it's a requirement displays numerous Add-On planes that I didn't even put there.
Continuing sincerity's explanation, by default the Compatibility Mod adds all currently available addon mods to the plane selection list. You'll need to follow this guide to manually disable certain addon mods you don't want to use.
I just checked the Su-35SX's file, apparently it doesn't have any standalone datatable needed to register it to the plane selection list, unlike most other addon mods.
I suppose you have to install Compatibility Mod then. Again, follow the guide I linked in my previous reply if you want to remove other addon mods you don't want to use from the plane selection list.
If that's happened before, then that's a mistake. I disabled mod manager downloads by default, because I personally think using Vortex is more complicated than simply managing through the ~mods folder, excluding other factors like Vortex not playing nice with priorities, and whatnot.
Hello there. Just here to say that the ADFX-10's first skin slot is missing in the Non-ASS SkinDataTable. I have checked both it and the ASS version's .uasset files to confirm its absence.
so i have everything downloaded and in the mods folder but when i try to run anything but base planes they dont show up in the menu nor allow me to sortie. this includes paid dlc planes and mods. what should i do? do i need all paid dlcs?
its been an issue since i first downloaded ur mods so I don't think that's a problem I've already tried uninstalling anything that may mess with it but 99% of the mods I have are from ur list and the others don't affect skins. *edit you were right there were some incompatible/unnecessary mods but i still dont see skins
Your previous screenshot, you have F/A-27C's module in the same folder as the patch even though other add-ons are inside the same folder.
Edit: You posted this on my ASS modpage. Again, you weirdly have that one add-on outside, with the patch and not inside its own folder like other add-ons.
Which of your files directly changes/affects the PlayerPlaneDataTable, or more specifically, the weapon ammo count? I'm asking because as much as I love add-on aircraft, they - along with your compatibility patch - directly overwrite the Skies Rebalanced weapon ammo count modifications. Strangely, the aircraft handling and actual weapon behavior mods do not seem to be affected, Again, only the weapon ammo count seems to be in conflict. In any case, great work and I truly appreciate all that you do here.
Well, def not caused by any of the files in the essential files lol, instead caused by my compatibility add-on patch. That mod has a PlayerPlaneDataTable (PPDT) with all the add-on records. Check out this guide if you want to make other PPDT-affecting mods compatible with my compatibility add-on patch.
And, also, yes, my patch and the essential files will not affect anything handling or weapon behaviour. That's because PPDT only controls plane records itself; whether it shows up or not, its weapon ammo count. Handling have their own files, weapon behaviour mods have their own files, etc.
I meant to follow up before you replied as I literally found the solution in your linked guide for editing PPDT files. I attempted to edit the PPDT earlier to no avail at first because I failed to realise I was supposed to actually UNPACK the compatibility .pak file itself. Sorry I'm new to AC7 modding. I usually just downlaod and follow instructions but never really attempted to edit files myself until now.
