Version 1.3 released: * Updated for 1.22 game version. Thanks to Dameon2 for creating a MRFAD like version of his mod in the meantime!
Check out his mod too, it's essentially same as this one, but with different values >> http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1654/?
------------------------------------------------
Version 1.2 released: * Removed the script, thus ensuring game version 1.10 compatibility
------------------------------------------------
Version 1.1 released: * Reduced HP regeneration rates * Max total regeneration can now only be 11 HP/s (5 HP/s max food + 6 HP/s max drink) * New GILL Patch released
:: Version 1.0 released. Works with existing saves, New Game and New Game +
:: Thanks to SkacikPL for providing me with the tooltip disable script.
:: If you want the tooltip back just delete the scripts folder from the mod.
:: Compatibility And Troubleshooting section on the mod page, please refer to it in case of any issues. If you use any other mods that modify the same files that my mod let me know and I probably will be able to make a patch.
:: FUTURE PLANS: - Possibly reduce the HP/s regeneration rate during combat (feedback welcomed) - Possibly make food regenerate HP and drinks regenerate Stamina or the other way round. - Look at the food level tables and adjust the food and drink items accordingly so it makes more sense. - Look at the food pricing
:: Feedback is always welcomed - if you have any comments or suggestions feel free to post below!
This mod is useless without the ability to heal more or the same vanilla amount over a longer duration, It is easier to just use the "Refreshment" Alchemy skill and pop a potion or just Meditate.
Please rethink mod; or please make a different version so food actually heals you over more then 10seconds and heals more. Like 100-200 vit over 1-2minutes.
I've noticed only one con... If I meditate after eating something, the food regenerating effect is inmediately lost, not healing me at all, making it very unrealistic. Please look if you can fix this, as it would be very nice to eat something and then rest (meditate) to heal Geralt.
I've been using this mod with great satisfaction in 1.22 until I discovered that with it, it's no longer possible to apply oils to my swords. It's a strange bug, you might want to look into that.
I'll have a look. I'm in the process of updating my W3 modding guide and then I'm off on holiday, so it may take a while, but I'll definitely have a look as soon as.
am I misreading something? It says on the front page you can get regen from food + drink at the same time, but I only see one buff icon?
Because just one or the other is nowhere near enough regen. Base HP is 3500, i can run across all of velen and not heal enough to do two fights in a row.
You're right about the first part. I just tested it, and I healed ~60 vitality over 10 seconds (out of combat, after suffering fall damage). After subtracting base vitality regen (3 per second), that means I'm healing ~3/s. However, I consumed both fried meat (3 per second regen) and Est Est (2 per second regen). I also only saw one icon in my buffs. It's clearly only using the food, not the drink.
As for the second part of your post, I don't think this mod is for you. As its title suggests, this mod is for realism. It's not realistic to expect Geralt to recover from grievous wounds with food and drink. That's what your swallow potion is for. If you want food and drink to substantially regenerate your health, why not just download a cheat mod while you're at it?

FYI to anyone who has a mod that changes the speed of in-game time: The vitality regeneration durations and magnitudes are based on REAL-LIFE time, not in-game time. So, for example, Level 2 food will regen 2-4hp per real-life second, regardless of the speed of your in-game time.
This is an important distinction, because whether the values are pinned to in-game time or real-life time has implications for balance. The faster your game-speed, the weaker food/drink regen becomes (e.g. if 24h in-game equals 60 seconds real-time, then Geralt is only regenerating ~300 vitality in an entire in-game day; but if 24h in-game equals 24h real-life, then Geralt is regenerating ~300 vitality in just a single in-game minute.)
