Hey im having some weird issues with this mod i got it to work halfway on my first install meaning my keyboard bind worked fine but my controller bind didnt work (probably because i didnt have the input_querty.ini file in my directorys) so i tried using the input_qwerty file instead seeing how similar they are and being located in the same folder i thought it might work and as stated before it kinda did atleast with the keyboard bind ( IK_0=(Action=ToggleCat). Anyways the next day i tried to switch the keyboard bind to my Numpad 0 and then everything stopped working so i tried just going back to how i had it setup before but now that wont work either. I have tried uninstalling all my mods and reinstalling them along with this mod the way i did the first time to no success and i cant fathom what isnt working. The only other keybinding mod i have is ( Geralt Cloak ) and i did manual installation on the keybinds for that one as to not interfere with this. Still no succsess... any advice?
Hi, this combination of mod works great, thanks...would it be possible to add another version that let you activate the catvision with both the key or the potion?
Not sure why but I can't get this mod to work. I know I've made all of the correct edits in the input settings because the original mod, Toggleable Cat Potion (by jadugarr), works correctly with the left thumbstick (I'm on a controller). But if I remove it and add this mod, the left thumbstick no longer activates Cat. So that means there must be an issue with this specific mod, right?

I used the no potion needed version of Jadugarr's mod which is probably the issue. I could try make a different mod combining the other version of "Toggleable Cat Potion" with "No Enemy Glow" which might work for you.
For some reason this won't work no matter what I try. Mod is properly installed, cat potion will no longer trigger night vision, but still can't activate it with hotkey. Tried different hotkeys, checked for script conflicts - there are none. Strange. Maybe I'm missing something, can anybody provide their input.settings file so I can check if I edited it right?
Hi Shadow, just a few questions. Have you checked if it works without any other mods? What key is your preferred keybind? Did you paste the keybind under all of the catagories listed in the description? Are you using any other keybind software? (eg razer synapse or reWSAD)
Hi, thx for answering! So, yeah, I tried uninstalling all other mods, tried binding it to U, 6, 8, nothing works, I did put the line under all the categories mentioned in the description and no, I don't use any other keyboard software.
And so on so fourth until you have added the line to each of the suggested categories. Capitals and lower case do matter - the keybind will not work unless it is exact.
Keep in mind once you save the changes and launch the game it will rearrange the non-base keybinds, so your keybind will now be located further down the list for each category. You can change the file to read only and the game won't rearrange everything (allowing you to organise the jumbled keybinds) but if you do, you won't be able to edit the keybinds from the in game menu.
If you are worried you have made an error in the file you can't locate, you can get a fresh copy of the vanilla key binds by following steps below.
- Move your key binds file (My Documents/The Witcher 3/input.settings) file to another location - Launch the game - Exit once loaded - Run TW3MM and reload any mods that apply key binds on installation - Follow the steps provided on the description tab to manually add the keybinds for this mod as you did before
FriendlyHUD is one example of a mod that automatically adds it's own keybinds during install - just chose yes when it asks if you'd like to remove the duplicate mod before proceeding, or you can manually remove it before re-loading it. If you have changed any of the keybinds the mod originally added it should prompt you to choose between your current one and the default the mod is trying to load. You can choose yes to all so you do not have to edit them again. Failing this just edit the keybinds manually that you wish to change. This is one way to work around some of the unnecessary restrictions about binding two actions that do not clash. If you made any changes to the default in game keybind menu you will need to apply them again.
You may find the game crashes after you have edited the keybind file. This can be prevented by loading an older save, then loading your current one. If you cannot remember all of your keybinds refer to your old file. Once you are happy with your new keybinds and everything is working fine you can delete the old file.

Still no luck, cat potion won't trigger the effect but hitting U does not do this either. Agh damn. Don't forget check with the original authors in case they can help.
Have you tried removing all mods apart from this one then testing it? If it works with no other mods you can add them one at a time and test in between to try and locate the clash.

Unfortunately I couldn't successfully combine the potion needed version due to differences in file structure.
I just left the cat potion un-crafted and pretended it never existed as my solution to the useless potion downside. =P

You want the version where you need to drink the potion but with no enemy glow?
