Thanks for the update! Is it at all possible to turn the cutscene lighting brightness down a little bit so that it becomes even more seamless with the normal game lighting?
Cool! Works with Blood and Wine! Had to edit it for 1.21 obv but it's definitely changing the env in Toussaint. Want me to send you the playerWitcher edit that I got to work with 1.21?
I have uploaded a fix for 1.21 with my personal ReShade if people want to use grim lighting with the current update, I'll remove it if vinh1998 wants me to but people can use it for now for 1.21 whilst we wait for an official update. I've made sure to redirect people here though for endorsement so hopefully it's not a problem.
Here's my page: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1565/?
this still doesnt work on my 1.22 version, thats what i get :

I can't get hold of the mod author for permission to publish an update for this mod for compatibility with version 4.00, but it is available here: GrimLightingNextGen
Dude why did you block me ?? I was defending the guy who commented !! He already deleted it but some guy was toxic because he asked a question and I was defending him and thats what I get for it ? Wow
I know it's been a long time since you posted this but I was using your version of the mod and I realized that when fighting fiends/chorts the darkness that covers the screen when they use their hypnosis ability is missing.
Sorry about that! Here's a fresh link. I think this is the one I made to work with the current version of Witcher 3, but I can't test because I no longer have the game installed: GrimLighting (fixed)
I love this mod but I have an issue. I don't know If I'm the only one experiencing this but with the mod installed, the hypnosis ability that fiends and chorts use is missing its visual effect. Geralt does gestures and sounds still, and I cannot focus the enemy, as intended, but there should be darkness surrounding me and there is not.
I have a problem since I've installed the mod I get this when I start the game
Error [modgrimlighting]game\player\playerwitcher.ws(1477): Cannot override function 'IsEquippedSwordUpgradedWithOil' declared 'final' in class 'CR4Player'.
Warning [content0]engine\environment.ws(30): Global native function 'EnableDebugOverlayFilter' was not exported from C++ code. Did you manage to get it working well in Velen/Novigrad?
It worked for me in WO and it was beatiful and gritty at the same time but the other areas seem so colorful still, like the mod failed to work as soon as I hit velen :(
@Pitostreum quote: "" For those who are interested, here is my 1.31 updated version of Grim Lightning. Working in Velen. With & without DOF. I tried the new KNGr DOF mod but it seems it doesn't work with Grim Lightning. ""
I managed to make this version work with KNGr DOF mod the line in PlayerWitcher.ws from grim mod is:
the 1000 after 'true' makes the dof env to override everything and kngr don't work putting 0 makes kngr work but grim seems not working anymore, at least in velen. it seems a sort of override level so I tried to put 500 and for now and with poor testing, it seems it triggers both mod
So in the end this is the 1.3.1 version NODOF of @Pitostreum Grim Lighting with the above modification that works with new KNGr DOF mod
I don't know if and what bugs may introduce and needs testing If some expert modders can enlight about that value and its consequence it would be great All of that seems to work for now if properly installed and merged cheers
P.S. @Walteriusmaximus I discovered this mod and I like it a lot with my own reshade to correct some things, and I followed your advice to use it with cutscene lighting. Great stuff Since you like this mod you can try my version to tweak the DOF even further

I tried the new KNGr DOF mod but it seems it doesn't work with Grim Lightning.

the line in PlayerWitcher.ws from grim mod is:
theGame.SetEnvironmentID(ActivateEnvironmentDefinition((( CEnvironmentDefinition )LoadResource("environment\definitions\env_nomansland\nml_global\env_nml_swamps_v1_a_ps4_flat24.env", true )), 1000, 1.000000, 1.000000)); //Grim Lighting Mod
