Yup, If you put a tech recipe in the techbench recipe folder, and give it the techbench group it should show up in game. Though for what ever reason you still need to add the "-chip" at the end of the recipe and item name. Which will generate an error in the log, but works anyway... go figure.
Aw, I hate to always do this but... I don't like the machine's sprite. Primarily, the colors you used are very garish. It doesn't necessarily need to be an iron "machine". Maybe something more like a computer/workbench/blueprint-making-station? Maybe you could use blue for the computer screen instead - I've seen computer doodads in Starbound that are blue/black.
The sprite I used is from the game. Didn't make it my self. Just used the terminal they originally made to activate the live streaming. Future releases will be a more custom looking bench.
