Heya, is still mod going to be updated for the newer versions? Or mind if someone else updates it? It sounds like a mod I want, I hate that I need to choose between my survival gear or a my lamp on stick, and the healing is nice too.
I will consider updating it with newer versions if people find it necessary, after looking back after a year i'm surprised to see how received it was. I also noticed there is no new update to the game itself.
I put files from Main section of downloads into MODS folder then added files from Update there aswell. The game now takes 2minutes to load instead of 5seconds. Framerate dropped to 2fps. Also animation(particles) of regen shows even when you have full hp.
Deleted your mod and everything returned to normal.
This mod only makes simple changes and wouldn't directly cause such a problem. The files in the Glow folder are optional and non-dependant on the other. You would only need either the main file or the glow file, not both, to run the mod. If you are calling on both mods at the same time that could cause issues because they both make modifications to the same item.
The update files are also fully contained and only have a modinfo file which automatically applies the mod while it is in your mods folder. If you are also calling on the mod in the boostrap and you have all of these mods activated while the modinfo folder is also in there you are surely causing your own problems to your system.
Yes the particles are active constantly because the "redstim" effect is applied to the survival system. The original redstim as a duration where the particles are not constant but because this is an attribute it is constantly being applied.
Done! I actually had a lot more trouble with this than necessary. When i went into test it I was not noticing the light effect in my ship, and I had no mining tool to quickly to underground, so I was almost certain that all of the effects I was trying to were not working.
Let me know if it is too bright.
A nice effect from the original file is that the particles from the +'s actually give off a mild light just as numbers from being hit would.
