Please read the description before making a post.

Edit: The Texture issue should be resolved. Sorry to those who installed and saw the purple mess. The creation kit, for some reason neglected to pack my textures in the bsa. I uploaded all the files as loose files.

Got the CTD fixed by exporting facegen data in the kit but the textures for the banners were still purple and a bunch of them had hair that looked like the head wasn't built properly for SE. like the hair was coming off the sides of their faces and they had bowl cuts for the rest lol. It looks cool though, aside from that, I didn't see a black smith vendor working in there but that could have just been the time I showed up. Also for anyone who is playing with this and Mihails Leshens and Nekkers mod, there is a Nekker dropped like right outside of this camp so when you arrive you are in for a bit of a battle that will turn most of the animals in the camp against you and they will likely get killed by most of the bosmer in the camp. Just a heads up lol.

To all Bosmer fans, I was also getting the instant CTD and texture issues, but it was fairly easy to get the mod to work in SE by following these steps.  You only need basic skills with the tools mentioned:

    1.  To prevent CTD:

Follow advice of 'sasshiro' in the Bugs section dated 12 Nov 2020:  "Quick fix:  Open the mod in Creation Kit, Go to Actors and find NPCs created by this mod, select them and Ctrl F4 to export face meshes, etc, then Save.  It should be fixed and won't CTD when you get close."  The 'NPCs created by this mod' are the ten unique entries under EditorID starting with 'A000NPC...".  For my game, they are the first ten entries.

    2.  To fix most texture/mesh issues:

Follow advice of 'User_43876162' down in this thread dated 20 June 2018.  Briefly, you need to install a few additional mods for the missing textures and optimize the meshes, which is very quick to do.  You will already have saved the mod in Creation Kit in Step 1 above so you can ignore that.

    3.  To fix the glowing middle chest texture in the hut with three Bosmer chests:

Open mod in SSEEdit, go to Container, '40056DC6 A000BosmerChest04' and under 'Model' swap the two '3D Index' numbers around so the first entry shows '0' and the second entry shows '1' (they are the wrong way around in the mod).

The weapon racks work but I've only tested with vanilla weapons.

Improving the navmesh/AI pathing is a bit beyond my skills.  I've just stuck with whatever 'Max Height Data' my smashed patch uses, and the NPCs seem able to move around the top floor huts and ramps.  The NPC followers can have some difficulty following you out of camp.  But I've found as long as you move away far enough from the camp, they will eventually catch up to you.  You may need to go back and help them navigate out if they're really stuck.

The main reason this mod CTDs is it deletes navmesh and some persistent references referenced elsewhere. These items need to be changed from Deleted flag to Initially disabled in the plugin (with the exception of the navmesh, just undelete it and delete all triangles).

How exactly would I do this with xEdit?

Besides the other steps were really a great fix already.

Just to parrot what many have said, this mod instantly crashes when approaching the camp. But before I actually arrived I could already see that there was a missing texture (the hanging flags were not green like in the photos but instead they were bright purple).

Tried this mod and unfortunately suffered CTD. But I see so much potential here, it seems like a beautiful mod that really adds something that bethesda missed in vanilla, imo. Going to track this mod in hopes it will someday be updated and fixed please dont give up

Did you ever work out what the conflict is?

For the record, the conflict seems to be with MHDT - Max Height Data. I checked it against all my mods in SSE Edit. Haven't tested in game yet though.

    15 tries, 15 CTD.

This looks like it COULD be a great mod, it just has issues that need to be worked out.

This looks really great! Wish I had seen it earlier :) Maybe I'll post some interaction with Bosmer followers in Anna NPCs.

Wait what?! This mod is 3 years old and I never found it?!

I really like how the dev uses Falmer and giant camp assets and combines and retexture them. Great idea!!

Said no one got inspired by this and did more similar stuff. If there are assets to download I might ask some other author to use them. But if this is possible please PM me.

Really cool idea! Sad it got not that much attention.

That mod is a really great idea, but there is no point of having it if keeps crashing. Some people down below gave some solution for modders to come up with so what are the modders waiting for? Can somebody please create an updated version?

HOW TO GET THIS TO WORK:
TL;DR this mod is not converted properly for SE and it relies on textures from Green Pact Bosmer Armor and possibly SMIM.

You need to do a few things.

Extract this mod on your desktop before doing this.

First, and MOST importantly, open the esp in creation kit along with the main game and DLC while setting only this mod as the "active file", then save it. This mod is in the Oldrim form version and needed to be updated. Opening it in creation kit and simply saving it will do the trick.

Next, download the Green Pact Bosmer Armor mod at "Green Pact Bosmer Armor"
(AND "Bosmer ARMOR PACK" if you do not already have it)
This fixes the issues with the missing flag, spriggan statue, and overly-glowy Yffre shrine.

If the Master locked chest is missing the texture, you probably need to get SMIM too.
The quill on the desk might also need textures from SMIM.

Finally, download SSE Nif optimizer at "SSE Nif Optimizer". Navigate to the mods meshes folder. Take out "actors" and place it on the desktop - temporarily removing it from the meshes folder. Open up the Nif optimizer and select the "meshes" folder with browse, then "OPTIMIZE MESHES". Then, put the actors folder back in the meshes folder and through browse, select only the actors folder. Do the same but this time using the red "HEAD PARTS ONLY" tick for mesh optimizing.

I also scanned textures yet it said there were no issues so I believe you do not need to do that.

IF you are using animated clutter and run into an issue with the bosmer/falmer chests, message me and I can help you fix it.

I agree. Too much like work. I was running a Bosmer play through and installed this with NMM without having noticed the long "instruction manual" at the bottom of the description page.... 20+ CTD's later I just un-installed and moved on. I just happened to be searching my DL history today and was hoping there was an update to the mod to make it work with NMM. I loved the concept but every time I got my character within 100 yards of the Bosmer camp... CTD! Oh... Oh... almost there... CTD! I tried approaching from Riften, Shor's Stone and Ivarsted multiple times and CTD every time. If this mod ever get's fixed I'll be back. Thanks!

Wow that's a lot of work to get this mod to work. Not interested if it takes all that to keep it from crashing

Believe me guys, I used to be in your shoes, it's really not too difficult if you take an hour or so to download the required programs and watch some videos on how to do this... I'd say on a do-nothing weekend when you're relaxed enough to attempt it.

It's quite simple -it just sounds complicated. Modders tend to not speak in layman's terms (or care to) to explain instructions in a toddler-proof way (Marine-Proof if your were ever in the Service :P). For me, watching tutorial videos was much easier, since I tend to be a visual learner, and most people are.

An example is Elianora: she's a great modder and artist, but she will act abrasively to rudimentary questions (probably because she gets them incessantly), but also since she is an artist. Artists tend to be the "parlor" type or "public" type; there to display their work and art or there to share and merge their art with others. She's definitely a parlor type... an extremely skilled one, but doesn't put her time or effort into personally teaching hundreds or thousands actively (nor should she). She does have tutorial videos, but most are for skilled to advanced modders. She is very jealous of her art -and rightly so! Most modders have a lot of skill, and ego to match.

Digressing: to actually port over from Oldrim requires only like 2 more steps actually. I felt the same way about it, then I finally made the decision to convert from NMM/Vortex to Mod Organizer 2 and begin porting mods. Patience and experimentation pay off if you put the effort in.

      Though...

It is rather ignorant and lazy of the author to not ACTUALLY optmize and convert it for SSE when it has been placed under SSE mods...

I feel your pain in that regard; it's not really fair or amicable, but not truly an injustice either. The mod is 80% ported over, but requires more than casual player-knowledge to fully utilize, unfortunately -which is the vast majority of users utlizing the Nexus. In most cases it causes CTD, which is an issue for most of the users ignorant of the extra steps :(

Get Mod Organizer 2 for the security in knowing you won't actually screw up your Skyrim SE data accidentally or permanently and have to reinstall or backup constantly, and go from there.

So, learn you some! And, snub your nose at lazy authors. I believes in ya!
