About this mod

Makes Linen Wraps, burned books, and paper either significantly lighter or weightless—for use with mods that add them to crafting recipes. Uploaded in case anyone else might want it. ESL flagged.

Changelogs
Have you noticed that mod authors like to use those rolls of fabric from Draugr ruins in crafting recipes? If so, have you also noticed that they're obnoxiously heavy? This mod fixes that.

After a few revisits to this, I have also done the same for rolls of paper and burned/ruined books (because they're also oddly-weighed and sometimes useful). I've also updated it to an ESL-Flagged plugin that doesn't take up a load order slot.

In case it needs to be said, use only one file. Having multiple won't break your game but they do almost the same thing: you'll end up with both sets of recipes and whichever set of weight changes loads last.

Lightweight Version:

Reweighed:
Linen Wraps: Reduced from 3 to 0.5
Rolls of Paper: Reduced from 1 to 0.2
Burned/Ruined Books: Reduced from 2 to 0.8. This includes all three item entries in the Creation Kit.

New Recipes:

Linen Wraps: Three Tundra Cotton make one Linen Wrap at the Tanning Rack.
Rolls of Paper: Three Burned Books can be recycled into one roll of paper at the Tanning Rack. This doesn't apply to Ruined Books for the sake of not having three versions of the same recipe.

Weightless Differences:

Every item I touched is, of course, weightless in this version. The recipes are also 1:1 instead of 3:1—easier but still not free.

Load Order/Compatibility:

That's a surprisingly tricky one. Any other mod touching these items is probably doing something either equally or more important than this one . . . but unless that mod also reduces weight, you'll still want my changes. Wrye Bash usually fixes that kind of conflict. If it doesn't, the weight values are easy to find and manually adjust in SSEEdit.

Specific Mod Notes:
  • WACCF includes a set of weight changes that are near-identical to mine. Only use both together if you want my new recipes.

Uninstallation:

Have I mentioned that this mod is extremely simple yet? Well, it is. Uninstalling any mod from an in-progress game isn't the best idea but if you're going to do it anyway, this one's about as safe as you can get. Just make sure you're not carrying any of the affected items first or you might get over-encumbered through the re-added weight.
