Hello I've installed Nightingale Prime HD leather ver. with the capeless mod put into .dds into Skyrim\mods\Nightingale Prime HD\textures\armor\nightingale\f overwriting the default one, but when i but the armor in a mannequin the cape is not there, but when i equip the armor, the cape is now fully visible. The same if i share the armor to one of my follower. The cape still on.
I've batched the armor in Bodyslide so many times and even in bodyslide, the armor shows capeless. There is something i'm doing wrong ? Maybe that above is not the correct path ?
Since im playing almost only with beastial race, that mantle bothers me a lot. There is no way ti fix it ? A huge thanks to anyome helps me
This dont work, dunno how its messed up, no conflicts using your retex and capeless, does it need the non cbbe one to work?
Edit: I figured out the issue, Sky, you didnt put the .Nif's in the right location or Vortex didnt they are outside the req folder for meshes. afte replacing the .nifs in the right place, the boobs are indded not my own chara's
It removes cape but either changes body to default or it makes boobs puffed up and jagged. EDIT.: Found the issue, body slide for neither of cape less files matches vanilla one, and since we all change bodies based on vanila, its distorted.
Hello, i installed it with vortex but i still have the cape, what can i do for this? i have in order: true hd nightingale 2.2 AIO capeless cbbe version val nightingale boots only cbbe version (with no cape) yes i use cbbe, yes i tried the 2 version of capeless, yes im on sse., nothing works Maybe i forget to do something? thanks!
This may help some who are having issues with 'Capeless' either not working at all or causing body issues.
Note:I use Vortex and am running V 1.5.97 of the game and V 2.0.20 of SKSE64 and 3BA body. Note: I also spell 'Armour' like this, it is not a spelling mistake, lol. Note: I am only a Mod user, not a mod maker. This info is simply based on observation and experimentation only.
I believe in my case that for some reason it is the original enchanted version of the Nightingale armour given to the player at Nightingale hall that causes issues with this mod (or possibly any Nightingale armour if it is enchanted).
I discovered by accident that this mod worked perfectly after I downloaded and used the unenchanted armour from the mod 'Craftable Nightingale Set with CBBE' by Zombicide-II. This mod is only available (to my knowledge) via Bethesda mods.
I improved the armour at the workbench and it still works. I have not tried to enchant the armour (I use jewellery for my enchantments that way the enchantments are constant despite whatever armour I am wearing).
I use the mod 'Craftable Nightingale Set with CBBE' by Zombicide-II from Bethmods mainly because I also like to have the separate hood and mask feature this mod has. The same mod author has a mask and hood only mod on the Nexus but for me and some others it causes CTD or Freezing when the items are worn. I just somehow recalled from my Xbox days that there was another version on Bethmods(PC) which I tried and it works.
I dont know if other Nightingale armour replacers found on the Nexus will work but maybe.
So in summary, my character wears capeless armour that conforms to my chosen body and the hood and mask are separate items.

hey, great post. I just realised while reading through your post that I don't think I've ever tested the mod while getting the armour (I also spell it armour haha) the official way and have only ever used additemmenu or cc commands. I think I can comfortably say the enchantment isn't the issue, maybe receiving it through quests may cause an issue, clearly this is an oversight on my part and something I will look into, hopefully there's something I missed and will resolve any issues people have had, unless I'm missing something else
I'm having a weird problem, when i have cbbe enabled I have a cape but then cape goes away when i disable cbbe and i downloaded the cbbe version of this mod.
