Just a few quick questions as I am getting quite a few lighting quirks here using the LUX mod following your plugin and load order instructions as best I can read. Sometimes the game just freezes when in the locations, other times the lights are just off and run into the problem where one section is lit and if you move it becomes unlit and vic versa... ect stuff like this.
This is your suggestions for load orders:
Embers HD/XD (optional)
EEK's Whiterun Interiors
JK's Arcadia's Cauldron / Bannered Mare / Belethor's General Goods / Warmaiden's
The JK's Interior of EEK's Arcadia's Cauldron / Bannered Mare / Belethor's General Goods / Warmaiden's
additional patches.
- Lux - compatible with official patch available as a part of Lux mod, load it after Lux - Embers XD patch,
My Biggest Question is:
1. With the official Lux Patches... There are two sets of Official compatibility patches. the first is lux - JK's and the second is Lux - JK's and EEK's. It seems to want to auto install both in the FOMOD. My question is... do I install both of these sets of official patches or just the JK's and EEKs combined patches from the official mod?
2. Is my load order listed blow correct? Please Help.
So would the load order be as follows?: (this is my current load order and there are a lot of issues with flickering and lighting in almost all of the locations. Also random fires from Embers pop up all over the place as well)
Embers XD EEK's Whiterun Intetiors
JK Arcadia JK Bannered JK Belthors JK Warmaidens
JK Interior of EEK Arcadia JK Interior of EEK Bannered JK Interior of EEK Belthors JK Interior of EEK Warmaidens
Lux.esp Lux Embers XD Patch Lux USSEP Patch
Lux Via Plugin
Lux Orbis.esp Lux Orbis USSEP Patch Lux Orbis Alternative Start Patch
******** DO I ADD THESE? FROM QUESTION NUMBER 1 ******** Lux- JK's Bannered Patch Lux- JK's Belthor's Patch Lux- JK's Arcadia Patch Lux- JK's Warmaiden Patch ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**** there is also a patch that attempts to address the fires that are created from embers XD in each of the locations however the patch only solves the fire in belthors Goods and minimizes the other fires to be smaller but still there... ****
Any chance you can give an example of the plugin load order I need to have set up here to make this work as intended? I think this would be very helpful to the community as a whole because many people are using lux as their lighting mod now. I am really sad as this is one of my favorite interior combinations in this game and I cannot get it to work correctly with Lux. Please Help!
"Sometimes the game just freezes when in the locations, other times the lights are just off and run into the problem where one section is lit and if you move it becomes unlit and vic versa" - it's related to scripted lights in Lux's patches. GGUNIT did his best to make this work and probably can't improve it further. But you should ask him, not me :P
You need Lux - JK's patches to run Lux - JK's EEKs patches. The latter have the former as the masters and won't work without them.
Your load order looks fine and it should work as intended. Lux Via, Lux Orbis and Lux - USSEP patch are irrelevant in this case. If you'd still encounter some issues with fireplaces I'd suggest adding Embers XD - EEKs Whiterun Interiors patch (it's available in the Embers XD fomod installer) and loading it between Lux - Embers XD and Lux - JK's EEKs patches. But TBH I'm not sure if such a combo is really needed. I can't remember how exactly I've settled everything up - my actual load order is a mess, and I don't have the time to play anymore...
After a year break I came back to Skyrim to give it another attempt to make these patches work correctly... I seem to have them all in good order and honestly they work better than the last go around. Just a few loose objects here and there I can disable in editx. However the crashing still continues to be a persistent issue. I suspect it has to do with the Lux patches after TONS of trial and error. There is about a 50% crash rate upon entrance into the buildings. Its actually quite funny... You enter two and its fine... then the 3rd crashes almost every time haha. Also if all the mods have Lux Patches ON exactly as you suggest Bannered Mare and Arcadias Cauldron Perform 100% of the time and Belthor & Warmaiden Crash. When I attempt to remove the lux patches from Warmaiden and Belethor then Bannered Mare and Arcadias Cauldron Crash. Its just a just a crap shoot and not a realistic load order staple at this point because of the inconsistency.
Its unfortunate as these are by far one of the most beautiful interior mod mashups I have ever seen... Every-time I walk into Arcadias Cauldron I stop breathing for a moment. It would be nice if Gunit would make a stand alone patch for these outside of his Lux mod... Its a pain in the ass to have to download all the patches over again or uncheck all the boxes on the fomod to troubleshoot this. Better yet do a full remake of the mod from the group up <3. I know you guys have a lot on your plate with all the mods your juggling and patches BUT please go punch him around a little bit to devote a little more attention to this masterpiece!!! It would be a sad day to see this mod combo lost.
Hey Czasior - I spent the last couple weeks trying to work out this mod. I know your busy with a lot of other stuff but wondered if you may be willing to offer some advice. What type of conflicts that would occur in this mod set up may cause a CTD upon entry into the building.
Basically I checked every single mod that would of been included or in conflict with each of the respective areas. I removed anything that had any possibility of causing problems outside of the mods offered here. I still seem to be getting random CTD. Sometimes i can walk into the buildings fine and other times it will CTD. I also checked to make sure there were not repeat or overlapping patches effecting the same things the EEK patches were effecting in the same cell blocks.
I'm determined to find out what is going on with this setup and why for some reason its causing CTD. If i have to go into creation kit myself and figure it out I will. I thought for sure I would of been able to identify the culprit by now using editx alone by trial and error.
Any advice that you could give me to even give some sort of lead on how to fix this somehow I would greatly appreciate as your skills and experience are like 100x more than mine.
If it's not consistent I assume it might be a shadow scene node crash, which means we can't deal with it. But - like Rob said - crashlog might point us in the right direction.
Thanks for the attention Gents. Can you point me to exactly what crash log you need to see? I have located the Papayrus Crash logs/Dump Files called Crash_2023_DateTIme ect.
I will send them to you both on discord if that's OK.
I read this: - Do not use any patches dedicated only for EEKs Whiterun Interiors or JK's Arcadia's Cauldron / Bannered Mare / Belethor's General Goods / Warmaiden's (f.e. from JK's Interiors Patch Collection).
Did I understand correctly that these patches are superfluous for me?
And yet, for some reason, the installer automatically installs the JKEEKBelethor - Distinct Interiors patch, although I do not have the Distinct Interiors mod.
1) Arcadia's Cauldron - USSEP isn't needed as the layout of the interior is completely different. 2) Patch for Bow of Shadows and Arcadia's Cauldron is provided in the installer of my combo. 3) You need the Bannered Mare exterior patches (I will update the description). 4) Immersion patch will be included in my combo (I forgot about it). 5) Warmaiden's - Harvestable Statics is more an addon for the main mod than a patch. If you want to use it you need also a dedicated patch for this module from my installer.
Yeah, the installer misses the dependency on the Distinct Interiors file. I will correct it.
Hi, i'm having a problem with The Bannered Mare. I'm on a brand new save, followed the load order and instructions regarding LoTD patches. Unfortunately, I still have the sunken chair at the entrance. Any help is appreciated.
Here's the image (chair is beneath the floor with only the top protruding upwards):
Unfortunately, it has to be another mod interfering there. You should check this chair with More Informative Console. It'll indicate to you, which mod adds it/touches it as the last one. Maybe it'll be possible to solve it just by load order modification. If not, we'll need an additional patch.
It's a persistent ref in SurWR, so you won't do anything with it on the existing save. But good to know I need to make another patch for this combo. Added to the list.
i have currently a problem with the folloowing mods:
Immersive Citizen - AI Overhaul EEKs Whiterun Interiors JK´s Mods and this one
I am using the EEKs Whiterun Interiors - Immersive Citizen and it seems like your patch does not work entirely with this version. Is there some mistake from my side or is something missing in your patch?
BTW thank you for the effort in combining those mods. It works smoothly if I use the normal EEK Whiterun Interiors version.
it says in the description that this mod combo patch is not compatible with Immersive citizens AI Overhaul or Open Cities. So sadly it looks like you gotta choose between the 2.
Sorry, I still can't find the time to get back to this and create Immersive Citizens version. It will be done ultimately, but I can't say when. Open Cities won't be supported from my side, sorry.
EEK's interiors are easily my favorite, the only problem is I'm a dumb noob, and I'm missing textures on the ingredients cupboard in Arcadia's. I'm going to try troubleshooting a few mods but I have spent way too much time on my load order, so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas.
EEK's Arcadia is one of the coolest spots in the game, so I hope I can figure this out but I'm ready to just start a damn game.
I tried reinstalling without Arcadia's module selected but for some reason it loads a bugged out EEK or just crashes instead of loading the normal JK version.
It was posted already: It's easy to fix: go to your EEKs Whiterun Interiors mod folder and find textures\EEKs Whiterun Interiors\lakeview folder and copy it one level higher in the folder hierarchy. The correct path for the folder should look like this: textures\lakeview. This will solve the problem with those strange pink drawers.
Hi i love this mod, but idk why even if i create a new character this bed is still bugged in the bannered mare. https://imgur.com/rS2RIhe Also i have this issue in Arcadia cauldron: https://imgur.com/GtTAh84
The first issue is very odd and I can't replicate it on my side (see the image below). With the new game, it should be placed correctly (in the bedroom above the kitchen).
Second one is the problem with EEKs Whiterun Interiors main mod - the drawer models have the wrong texture path set. It's easy to fix: go to your EEKs Whiterun Interiors mod folder and find textures\EEKs Whiterun Interiors\lakeview folder and copy it one level higher in the folder hierarchy. The correct path for the folder should look like this: textures\lakeview. This will solve the problem with those strange pink drawers.
Update: With live another life installed now the bed is good, but i'm not sure why i'm missing the barstools now XD One bug leads to another... ahhh my life :c
