I would have to see if USSEP can be removed as a master from all the Non-OCS content. The biggest concern (without looking now or in awhile) is: how it's editing the WhiterunLocation (LCTN). If I can fully forward its edits and its LCTN edits are not registering any new USSEP created IDs, then, I can likely remove it as a master.. If it does need to be master due to its own IDs added to the LCTN, then there is not much I can do... We are not going to provide a third Breezehome version intended to NOT be used with USSEP as its just a lot more to manage. Most folk use USSEP so may I ask why you choose not to use it? I am a model fixer for USSEP and I can fully attest that every single model that was submitted my way for fixing was broke before and cured after it was out of my hands. I have seen nothing so far in how its developed that isn't doing good and fixing base-game flaws... May I ask why you don't wish to use it?
Basically it does a lot of wild edits, including lore and balance changes. The mod maker is also a generally abrasive person and has rubbed *quite* a few people the wrong way
I'd have to look into it but I can't make any promises. As I kinda described in the above msg what could be the situation, then it will need to remain. IF valid LCTN data (and I am only guessing blindly right now that is it) needs to be carried forward into whatever Elis mod has to handle, then I am in a very tough position bc we do not want to maintain a Non-USSEP, USSEP and USSEP-OCS Breezehome main files. Its just too much. When I get a chance, I will look more into it and I WILL reply to you if its doable or not. I don't know when I will get the chance to thoroughly look but I will let you know the verdict
Hmmmm, there is always the way of just making a USSEP patch for the Non-OCS version carrying over all that is required for USSEP which means I can remove it from the NoN-OCS Breezehome.... OK. That adds a much better option for me to work with
Its a FOMod aka I believe " FallOutMOD" Install with a mod manager. Preferably MO2 or Vortex. There is not many video guides around on Auto Installers but here is an older one by Gopher 2014 Mod Organizer #4 - Installing Scripted FOMODs, SKSE and SkyUI (1:10 in to video, they install "Winter Is Coming - Cloaks" fomod") Be very weary to the remainder of the video. I have not watched but its old so lots of advices are probably very outdated. You can google around just looking up "Skyrim FOMOD" and you'll figure it out I'm sure but it is advised 100% to be modding games with maintained and supported mod managers of todays age or your wont find much support
Hey, peanut-brain here again. The upgrade to 2.0 went pretty smoothly, so thanks again for the pointers for getting that set up. I'm having two minor issues now that I can't seem to figure out.
1. I use ELFX along with the NoPlayerHomes.esp addon that all loads before any of the Breezehome files (and the associated ELFX patch) as per the instructions, but I'm still getting lighting priority issues that I can't figure out how to resolve. I have the files in just about the exact order you guys have listed for the two mods, so I really don't know where to look or what to do to get that fully fixed. It's not the end of the world or causing any crashes at all, so I can live with it for now.
2. I've been having an issue with a lot of the Dragon Priest masks not appearing on their displays. This isn't anything like the comments on the old version of this that were all "oh they're all on the floor" or "they're floating in mid-air," they're just invisible. I can still place and pick up the masks as usual from their displays, so they're not lost forever. It seems like it's solely a visual issue of some sort. For this one, I have no clue what mods could be impacting this. As far as I know I don't have any mods that adjust the appearance or meshes of the masks, so I don't think that's the issue.
Sorry it took so long for me to reply back to you. I read it when you posted but I had nothing to say because I needed to find time to go in game and check myself. Check out this uploaded MP4 video I made just now using ELFX and me putting all the Masks on the Busts. I have absolutely no problems. My barebones testing plugin load order in SPOILER

Pertaining to your 1. > You obviously have something wrong going on in your setup. Their is no other way to excuse what you are receiving based on my test results > I even checked the "ELFX - NoPlayerHomes.esp" and "ELFX - NoBreezehome.esp" against Elis Breezehome here. ELFX is NOT doing a thing in the cell with the correct load order. Only way ELFX can have a handle in the home while using this in my spoiler image is if other plugins are somehow involved editing the cell Pertaining to your 2. > As you can clearly see in the MP4 upload, I cannot replicate your issues which goes to say, again, something in your setup needs further investigation > I wish I had more advice but like all other issue cases, you just gotta be that detective on the case and dig deeper
Hey, sorry this response is a bit delayed, but I really appreciate you going through all of that just to look at something for a dummy like me. I followed some basic xEdit tutorials (mainly just knowing how tf to interpret it and what settings do what) and looked through some files, and bafflingly it seems like the Dragon Priest mask issue is something USSEP is playing a role in. All of the masks that USSEP touches are ones that appear on the stands whereas the ones it doesn't touch are the ones that don't appear. I'd say this would be an issue of upgrading from 1.6 to 2.0 (which you helped me determine I could do in my case, so thanks again for that!) if it wasn't for the fact that, as you saw, it was happening on 1.6 too. Given how essential USSEP is to pretty much everything on here, I really don't know how this could've happened. You've probably picked up that I'm not exactly one to tinker with the code or screw with much of anything, so I didn't touch anything myself. It's especially confusing since everyone else who has USSEP and this mod don't have this issue, yet somehow my system does.
As for the ELFX issues, I'm still doing some more testing, but I did find one other mod that wasn't even supposed to be touching the lighting that somehow was. Fortunately a reordering of the list was enough to make Breezehome (and all the other files it was touching) override it.
Thanks again for all your help thus far, peanut-brain here appreciates it!
Hi, thanks for your great mod and willingness to keep it updated even in 2024. I made sure i followed all instruction (eg i am eligible to update since i installed Eli's Breezehome Optimization Packages and Patches alongside Breezehome 1.6) but one piece of puzzle still missing: when im updating the mod, MO2 provides several option to continue: replace, merge, rename. I dont know whats the correct one, even after i consulted MO2 manual, since information there are only general. Could you help me?
I would download this • when installing, leave it the default name the installer chooses to name the mod. Should be the name of the page. Then you don't need to worry about replace or merge bc you don't have an existing mod in left panel named this • After its installed to its new mod, enable it • Then uninstall the old Breezehome mod and opt pkg mod so you are left only with this
MERGE - basically means that a previous mod in left panel is named the same as the new one you are installing. Merge will install the new files REPLACING old ones (if they pre-existed) and for the remainder of the new where those files had no pre-existing ones already in the installed mod, they will merge in REPLACE - the new to be installed content will fully wipe out all old stuff only installing the new to that same named mod
You need to complete the "Innocence Lost" quest in Windhelm from that other kid killing Greta of the Orphanage. Completing that quest unlocks the whole adoption system. If you already did that, what symptoms or behavior aka what happens after you adopt her? She never shows up to the home after a couple of days? Need more details. Are you using Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions (HMA) mod or not? If you are using HMA, did you run the HMA spell in the home "Bless this Home"? Need more info
I'm not sure if I'm just silly but somehow the "Bless Home" spell is not working for me in this household, is there any reason for that? It keeps on saying that it's not suitable.
LOOT seems to want to constantly want to place this after JK's and Lux. Even after I grouped them all together and locked the order I wanted them to be in as stated in the description and when I did auto sort for other plugins it still put this after them. Any good way to fix that?
LOOT is abit beyond what Eli and I are capable of handling. If I were you, I would just join the LOOT server and explain in a general channel what is going on. They are very fast on acting when they see what's happening and if its something on their end they need to adjust.. Here is the LOOT Discord Server link.. https://discord.com/invite/SZVPRzf
Its something to do with not following the install instructions 100% as far as I know. Personally, I would like to look more into it and figure out why it occurs. However, I am limited to diagnosing it deeper as I dont have the time to play the game attempting to materialize it for myself so the more images with formids (selected object technical data with MIC) and even gifs uploaded to imgur or whatever, might help me understand more on it
