I decided to start the game again, this mod was previously installed. And I ran into a problem. The first dragon in the quest "Dragon in the sky" does not appear. Deleting the mod or loading the last save doesn't help. Gorgeous
This mod keeps disabling itself in Vortex/LOOT. Any idea why? I'm not sure if it's because I've not started the main quest on this save but yeah it keeps disabling itself after I've enabled it
But not with both! They both add dragon markers to your map, but on slightly different locations AND with different names. So you have to choose between them.
What is the point of making a mod that already exists (and which works perfectly) ... LoL. Didn't you look around before you bother to do this? Yet the other mod uses exactly the same keywords ... It's incomprehensible. Wtf
In SLE the ESP versions did not work well, hence the scripted version with MCM was made. In SSE I suppose the situation is the same but I did not test it. So, if nothing changed, this new mod is script free, but in this case the other scripted version should be the reliable choice.
Excellent idea ... if this mod would activate itself after Sovngarde is done. Please have in mind that peeps may have multiple characters at different stage running in the same Skyrim installation - advising to use console for gaining dragon souls may take away essential gameplay before Sovngarde.
If you want dragon attacks before Sovngarde then activate this mod afterwards. It is safe to add to an existing game. I have not tested removing it, so I would not recommend doing so.
If you think about it, the dragons should really stop after you fight Alduin on top of the Throat of the World the first time, because Paarthurnax goes on about how this event should give the other Dova who follow Alduin "pause"
But yah, activating this mod whenever is perhaps the most versatile it can be atm.
You don't have to use console for dragon souls, there are still specifically named dragons, that I guess are untouched, as they don't seem to be random, since they sport a name (although I had one spawned a second time in the last playthrough, but in the same place, near Rorikstead, his name started with V, I'm pretty sure it was the same dragon, that I fought there earlier, probably a bug). And there are also the walls with words of power, that are guarded by a dragon, again that shouldn't be a random event, since the walls are you know, fixed. Once you slay a dragon guarding a wall, then I guess he wouldn't respawn, or maybe ...? I don't know. But this mod should only disable the random dragon encounters, not all dragons at all. So there still should be quite a few souls to collect.
No offense to cfs111, but anyone looking to more reliably toggle random dragon spawns on/off at any time via an MCM menu should use "Block Random Dragons SE" instead: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/15344/.
Except that mod isn't very reliable as it sometimes turns off by itself even when you've set it to block dragons. Rather have something that keeps constant.

Many thanks in advance.
