I did an entire *alternative recolor of all the furniture* present in this amazing mod if anyone is interested (all proper credit has been given to TheRainbowRobot for time and effort spent creating this mod) check it out
Hello all! I apologize for not being around to answer any of y'all's questions, life got crazy and I stopped playing Skyrim for several years and lost interest in developing the mod. Unfortunately all of the loose files were on my old hard drive, I am looking into recovering the data but I do not currently have access to it.
Regarding permissions, you do not need to ask me for permission. As a blanket statement, I am perfectly fine with anyone using any of my assets, just credit me as the creator (and probably the sources for textures that I included the description) and we are good.
I never actually made the Telvanni stuff, I started concepting it but it never made it to models and at this point it is not going to happen.
Regarding the issue with purple furniture, I looked at each of the downloads and realized the issue some people were having: I forgot to rename the texture folder for the 4K Clean version. In the download it is labeled "SOFA_Textures_Clean" but it should just be "SOFA_Textures". Since I don't have the files anymore, the only way to fix this is to manually download the mod, unpack the files and rename the file folder. For manual installation, just copy "Meshes", "Textures", and whichever .esp files you want directly into the Data folder.
The file path on all the meshes is incorrect. It is sofa_textures\... when it should be textures\sofa_textures\... I am not sure if you made sofa_meshes and sofa_textures the root directory in Data that game would recognize the meshes and textures at all since it will be looking for Data\meshes and Data\textures. You can manually edit the file in nifskope though so its fixable but a task lol
To fix the missing textures (Blue Color), After using vortex for installing SOFA Clean 4K, select All, then after vortex install, Go to Data\textures\SOFA_Textures_Clean Get rid of word “_Clean” for dir name and make sure it reads Data\textures\SOFA_Textures And your good to go. (Do Not know if Vortex will re-install directory because of name change. So you might have to tell vortex to keep change and re-check.)
Some of the Bar/Tabletops appear to be painted purple, so, maybe their missing an alpha channel or perhaps wrong texture?? If you do not like the painted Purple wood – in the folder data\textures\SOFA_Textures\PaintedWood – (Save Sofa Originals) then replace and rename the textures SOFAPaintedWood_d.dds, SOFAPaintedWood_n.dds in the folder with a different wood color.
BTW the painted wood texture is just the textures in the textures\SOFA_Textures\CWood folder but tinted purple (and far too shiny). People can just copy the CWood textures into the painted wood folder \Textures\SOFA_Textures\PaintedWood and rename the Cwood files to the appropriate paintedwood files (make backups of the painted wood ones somewhere)
I'm trying to contact the creator or asset use permission but no response for some time, is he no longer on the website? I can understand if he ain't available anymore.
My favourite part of this has to be the common beds, though I had to manually make them standalone by deleting everything but the meshes and textures, also the esp isn't esl-flagged due to the mod's age so one must do that manually. I'd love a modern remake of the beds where the meshes point directly to your textures, like the recent mod Nordic Beds seems to have done: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38733
Also, the Indoril themed elven replacers look amazing. Not sure I'll use them right now as it's just trading one decent Dunmer theme for another. Maybe you could apply to or send assets to Beyond Skyrim as the elf sets in particular look like vanilla quality!
____________ Editing all the way in 2021 because I'm back here, saying thanks for the mod use permissions, I'd like to use one or two pieces. Not sure what I was droning on about at the start of this comment when I wrote it, but I still think you could get in touch with Beyond Skyrim if you're still around. I'd also like to see the Telvanni furniture the description mentions.
It's kinda a shame there isn't just a furniture store ingame to purchase all this - saves downloading various house mods to steal their furniture! XD.. Also, don't know how this would impact those player house mods already decorated - such as PCGirls' The White House.
