Hello All! i wanted to make a clear post here at the top showing current version status updates!

    Current Version Compatibility:
    Vivid Weathers - 1.62
    True Storms - 1.01

    Compatibility in progress:
Vivid Weathers - Up to date
True Storms - Up to date

    Current version notes

Vivid Weathers = SPG fixes (because CK loves destroying it) and minor changes to Volumetric lighting. No change that would affect this patch.

True Storms = unchanged since the creation of this patch.

    Other Mod Compatability Notes.

Wet and Cold: a addon patch exists for this mod, which adds Wet and Colds Ash storm variants to the combined weather list for the Ashlands. This addon also adds all True Storms and Vivid Weathers ash weathers to table of "is ash storm" detection allowing those weathers to trigger the relevant "ash weather gear" and "Watering eyes" effects. An All in one version also exists, which allows you to achieve the same thing with fewer ESPs. These and the default MCP is in the Wet and Cold version of the Download.

Bruma: Currently has a Bug in my system, causing a severe visual error even in a clean save state. This makes it very hard to make a mod for the region as while i can easily make the needed changes, i cannot faithfully say i have tested them successfully. You can however use the Vivid Weathers - Bruma Patch, as this will carry over the MCP changes as well. the only thing you will be missing is the True Storms Heavy Fog. I am going to suggest Loading the Bruma patch after the MCP.

    Cross Compatability Notes.

in general, as long as weather itself is not directly affected or added to, there are no concerns.

Sounds from True Storms seem to work fine. But the rain still looks weak and piddly. I don't know if this is due to load order, the use of an ENB, or if the patch just doesn't match up with Vivid Weathers anymore. A bummer, because I miss the way the badass rain from True Storms used to look in Oldrim. I miss that feeling of being blinded by rain. Wish I could fix it.

I don't want to hijack his comment section (sorry!), but I just wanted to let those that are still waiting for an update know that I've uploaded my own version of a Vivid Weathers + True Storms patch that's updated for version 2.21. I realized that these patches hadn't been updated in many months for the awesome changes made in Vivid Weathers 2.0 and above, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to create my own version. I hope that can be a good alternative for those who are still waiting :) It also has a few extra options for visual preference. Cheers!

Huge thanks to you Hypertion for your work on this patch and the inspiration to make my own, you really thought of everything here :)

hi Hypertion, firstly thanks for making this True Storm compatibility patch for Vivid Weather.
yesterday per 3 January 2018, Vivid Weather got an update to ver 2.02. Is patch still compatible with newest vivid? Or this patch should need for an update too?
If it's need an update. hope you can update this mood too. as this mood is essential for my skyrim playthrough. Cheers..

I don't think taht it's workin untill he's gonna make an update.
Even at the begining of his post he said that the current version compatibility is 1.62; checked the other true storms-vw patch mod and same thing only support the last update :/

    This doesn't look right: http://i.picpar.com/TNAc.jpg

The weathers brought together by this patch look very good in ALL OTHER conditions EXCEPT this one. Light fog is fine. Just this one particular heavy fog weather condition looks like crap. Is it actually glitched or am I just being silly?

    Any advice, anyone?

I'm confused. Does the Wet and Cold optional contain the main patch? Meaning I don't need to download both files?

Also, the Wet and Cold optional file has VW&TSMCP Wet and Cold Patch.ESP and Vivid Weathers & True Storms and Wet and Cold MCP.ESP. What is the correct load order for this? Do you need to have the original Wet and Cold ESP?

This is how I have set up atm https://gyazo.com/dd3c8f7c2f2411c36350116a39f49c59

Can I also add these patches to a Bashed Patch?

Vivid Weathers SE 1.60 and Vivid Weathers SE Bruma compatibility patch both just released. I'm guessing it's best to not update to them until this mod has hopefully been updated?

I just messaged Hypertion to politely inform him of the situation. Fingers crossed he's still active in the Skyrim SE modding scene and will be updating this fine mod for those of us who appreciate and depend on it.

Thanks for the response. Delighted to hear you'll be updating this fine mod and doubly happy that you'll also be doing so for the VW compatibility patch for Bruma. Much appreciated.

ok first impression from initial comparison of the Old vivid ESP and the new (using a master trick to let SSEdit show conflicts to highlight changes)

the biggest changes in Vivid 1.6 is the changes to the Volumetric Lighting which my patch does not touch at all, and clear weather lighting colors which again my patch doesnt touch (i do not touch any clear and cloudy weathers in vivid)

beyond this, the noticeable changes are a few bug fixes reguarding a old bug in vivid, a few of which my patch actually already addressed (the snow during rain storms one was the most noticable)

right now i am running tests but i might not need to actually make any changes to the patch for compatability, nothing the patch effects was changed.

as a side note, this patch was developed with the BSA version of Vivid weathers, simply for simplicity with the development.. there is no real differance between the bsa and the loose file version of the ESP tho, its mostly just how they are installed and the ease of it.

      ___

Update, a quick check reveals that the Vivid Patch for Bruma will have no issues working with this TS and vivid patch. it only adds vivids weathers to the regions, overwriting the bruma ones.

that said i will make a addon to that addon that simply adds TS weathers as well, which might be out today.

awesome dude, appreciate how quick you looked into this!

I am doing a mod reinstall for SE and was looking forward to using TS and Vivid, so I will be using this patch.

While your taking a look at everything, what load order should it be for the patch if using the extended rain/weathers with vivid?

      True Storms
      Vivid Weathers
      MCP
      Extended Rain & Snow

Extended rain and snow addon for vivid must be loaded after the MCP. the MCP contains the shader particle geometry from True storms so having it before will result it the addon having no effect. right now that addon is there mostly because the creation kit butchers that data anytime you save with it. shader particle changes is kept in that addon to avoid having to redo that part of vivid everytime mangaclub saves in the CK. (i avoid this by almost entirely working in SSEedit, and having a similar esp containing only that data as a back up if i have to do work in the ck. i just delete the destroyed data and copy it from the backup esp with SSEedit.

tho i should point out that one of the main points of the MCP is that it adds True Storms rain and snow overhaul to all relevant weathers. the rain sounds are also more geared to the versions added by true storms. Rain and snow is the entire basis of that mod afterall (amazing atmospheric fogs not withstanding). i would actually say try both and see which you prefer. i do think that True storms rain drops can be kind of over sized at times compared to real life but i still prefer it.

on the note of the fogs, me adding TS fogs to the Bruma lists is literally all that there is to do for that compatibility mod. and no matter how i go about doing this, the resulting patch will be slightly bigger than the vivid one so i will simply do a bruma patch you use instead of the vivid one... anyone with SSEedit could easily do this (it involves adding True storms as a master to the bruma weather patch so you can add in the relevant "TS_SkyrimFog_Heavy" to the entrys of the in use weather locations. some of the still unused Cyrodill locations not implemented in the mod literally have one weather as the default. some of the unused regions that do have more complex or even fully realized weather just have Clear or cloudy weathers in the Vivid patch, Blackwood forest for example actually has fog and vanilla ranges of rain (ie ligth and heavy).

i have not played through bruma myself, and only have memory referances to the endless hours i played oblivion. it will be a bit of a new experience exploring the playable regions to test the weather.

Stellar work so far and the feedback is very much appreciated!

I'm guessing this probably isn't an issue but will your fine mod's Wet & Cold optional combined compatibility patch possibly be affected by any of the changes made in the recent Vivid Weathers SE update?

      no.

The wet and cold changes are limited to ash weather implementation from that mod into the MCP lists for solstiem as well as adding all TS and Vivid Ash relevant weathers to the detection effect for the watering eyes effect.

the Vivid update only changes clear and cloudy lighting and the volumetric lighting as well as a few bugfixes.

Thanks for the pinned comment at the top of page. Now updated to VW SE 1.60 and all advice followed. As per your guidance, LOOT places the VW Bruma patch below your mod so that was handy!

Upcoming Update = Full Compatability for Wet and Cold in a optional patch for the patch or as a all in one patch!

specifically, adding and updating the wet and cold unique weathers to the combined TS and VW leveled lists as well as adding the various added ash weathers by TS and VW to the controls for ash weather effects (watering eyes etc)

Many thanks for the new W&C compatibility patch.

I was initially confused by the installation instructions but eventually realised that for the minimum number of esp plug-ins, i.e. one, we need to manually uncheck two of the three esp plug-ins that are installed when using NMM.
