The fate of the Dwemer is unknown. They could be extinct, but many npc's said it looks like they just left. So most likely not extinct, they just left the continent and/or Nern.

The Dwemer are trapped in 'The Heart Of Lorkhan'. Whether they be in there own realm or not, they may still be "Alive". There is a Quest in Skyrim that shows how that may have come to be trapped.

Actually, there's nothing suggesting what actually became of the Dwemer. Arniel Gane's experiment in Skyrim was a half-assed attempt at recreating what Tiber Septim did to activate Numidium, not what Kagrenac did with the Heart of Lorkhan. Tiber Septim activated Numidium by using a specific soul gem known as the Mantella in the place of the Heart of Lorkhan; similar to what Arniel did, but the Mantella possessed the souls of powerful entities, whereas Arniel's gem was warped beyond the capacity to store a soul and he simply had it heated within Convectors.

Arniel also lacked the hammer Sunder and gauntlet Wraithguard; so his experiment doesn't suggest what became of the Dwemer since his experiment was enormously flawed to begin with, with far too many differences in variables.
Even if it did, his soul wasn't trapped within his warped soul gem, he became a "shade" - not an actual ghost - you could summon. If his experiment did somehow indicate the fate of the Dwemer, it would thus tell us that they are most certainly not within the Heart itself, but became phased out of the material plane.
The biggest frustration here is that there's nothing following. You can't interact with Arniel to find out where he is and what really happened, or if he's actually with them.

In-game lore book text also suggests that the Dwemer also didn't vanish instantly, but over the course of many years. That notion alone begs to question how they really did vanish. It suggests that they didn't literally just evaporate, but actually got up and gradually went somewhere until they were all gone.

@Mallios - Well if it helps any, in Morrowind there were Dwemer Ashes all over where you would expect a Dwemer to be, so they might be dead or existing as something else entirely.

I can believe a Dwemer exists in the Fourth Era, I really can. We have Yagrum Bagarn some 200 years prior to Skyrim's events, thousands of years after the Dwemer disappeared. And Bagarn's disease, Corprus, actually renders him immortal, so if he survived the Red Year, he's still living during the events of Skyrim. He just didn't appear in the game Skyrim because he was with Divayth Fyr and not Neloth. And as many Raven Rock dialogue suggests, Morrowind is still inhabited and operational.

So, what I really don't get is the cliche plot device of "You were sent forwards in time by a mad mage." That part, I have a bit of an issue digesting. Namely because it just doesn't feel like it has much substance. Bagarn also shows us that the Dwemer are not altogether gone. At the same time, you state all Dwemer are extinct, when in reality, it's actually believed they simply vanished into another plane entirely. Bagarn himself was "away" during that time, which suggests the same could be true for other Dwemer.

Which brings me to my main point about your background story: Why have a stereotypical bit about a "mad mage" sending you forwards in time? Why not start it off as yet another spatially displaced Dwemer like Yagrum returning to Tamriel long after the Dwemer vanished? Even Yagrum didn't know what happened to them, and was spending his time prior to his disease figuring out what happened.
You'd also really need to consider the nature of Chronomancy - or time magic - as well. Alduin was sent forward in time via the Elder Scroll. The essence of time itself is attributed to Akatosh. So one cannot simply alter time. There hasn't been anything depicting a conventional or simple use of Chronomancy, so it's a power not possible for one to use; especially a "Mad Mage". The Elder Scrolls only react and behave for things imperative to destiny, and a "mad mage" isn't likely to glean time magic from Akatosh himself.
The closest players get to controlling time is via a Shout. Shouts are derived from the Thu'um, which is a distinct power attributed to Dragons, the spawn of Akatosh, and learning the Way of the Voice is not an easy task for non-Dragonborn, and the only Shout which alters time only slows it for a brief moment. So even Shouts are not powerful enough to send one through time.

So really, it's not the Dwemer in the 4E that's the issue, it's how you put a Dwemer in the 4E. A Dwemer could live during that time, but being temporally displaced is not likely. Being spatially displaced is.

This looks like it might be really cool. I'm going to DL and take a gander. I've always thought the Dwemer were interesting.

I have also tried all your options, including the Dunmer save, and always get a CTD.

I have tried everything I can think of to get this to work but it still crashes. Do you have ANY other mods, even non-esp ones, such as visual mods, or any official dlc? Do you have the HD pack? Where are they in the load order, if you do have any?

Would it be possible to make NPC react to your race as they do to other races too?

@DrueslingSince I've decided to play Skyrim dwemer style, this is the exact mod to play like it.

Seen the comments looks like people having a hard time with this. Made it work by
reading your conversation between you and Weafu.

No problem right now and endorsed..
