Hello everyone. I just wanna say first that I don't intend to return to Skyrim modding anytime soon. I guess this is pretty obvious though since I've been inactive for a few years and I haven't been responding to any messages. About that, I'm really sorry. Truth is, things in life got in the way of my modding, or maybe it's because I simply lost motivation to continue modding. I'm not afraid to admit that. Anyway, I'm just announcing here that since I'm obviously not continuing modding and that I'm no longer updating this mod, I'm going ahead and allowing permission to anyone to use, alter, update, etc. my mod in any non-monetary manner. Basically, as long as you're not using this mod to make money (that money should belong to Bethesda since this IS their game, regardless of how you may view them in an ethical sense), you may do things like update this, change it, bring it over to Fallout 4, whatever. I have just one condition for this though: don't forget to credit me, matortheeternal for the script I used, and Bethesda for Skyrim.
I guess one last thing I'd like to say is thank you to everyone who downloaded, endorsed, and enjoyed Immersive Children despite my inactivity. It really means a lot that some people actually cared about such tiny issues as child size scaling and similar issues arising from the child flag. Also, once again, sorry to those who messaged me and never received a reply. I really am sorry. Also, since I'm not really modding anymore (or at least anytime soon), don't hold any hope that I'll respond back to any posts or messages. I haven't responded to anything for the past few years, so why expect that now? Anyway, I hope you all keep enjoying modding and playing Skyrim, or hell, whatever other game you're playing. :)
Immersive Children Lite is now available. If you have compatibility issues or other issues with this version, then my lite version just may be the ticket for you. It also fixes some corruption issues I discovered in this plugin that can result in breaking furniture interactions with children. Plus, I removedthe necessity of creating the One ImCH Patcher in TES5Edit by redesigning how the plugin is installed.
how about instead of telling people only read the mod description, why dont you tell us where to read it, or where the fix is, or what we are doing wrong, instead of complaining and telling us to read the description why dont you help
i tried following the directions but they really aren't specific enough for me, can't make it past step 8, its too ambiguous ...maybe a tutorial video?
Why don't you quit being a jerk. Obviously they did, as I did. We come here because this problem IS NOT covered in the mod description. If you see it and we don't why don't you just clarify it instead of repeating the same nonsense. Either help or get out of the way.
They said where though, THE MOD DESCRIPTION. As it reads: Vilja was incompatible with Immersive Children and that was because Vilja is a custom race, not a true Nord *gasp* If you're gonna mod, READ DESCRIPTIONS and don't be mad for people calling you out on literally ignoring what's been said. These forums get like 100000000 questions a day, think they really wanna deal with every single mf that comes in crying about things that were already addressed? On top of people crying constantly over the mod not being patched to current time on it's own while the modder literally said they stopped working on it 2 YEARS AGO. Oh right, but thats in the description and people don't read those (:
This has to be the most idiotically over-complex mod patching process I have ever seen. I get it: you wanted to save yourself some work by putting it off on us. Next time, think about it from your audience's perspective, and not from that of a modder's.
Edit: Found a better, less obtuse solution to the RS children problem:
1. Install Skykids from LL (only if you want to play as a kid without spooky floating arms, and want to wear most armors).
2. Install RS children: tick the playable option.
3. Untick the playable ESP before selecting a child race, and configuring him.
4. Once the journey starts, retick said option and voila: I am a genius.
Yes, normally one custom patch created by the patcher is all that is needed. Some specific mods need a pre-made patch to forward some things the patcher doesn't cover which should already be included in the installer. Otherwise, that's it.
Erm hello, I do not want do download something additional, so I have to ask. Is this mod compatible with immersive weapon armor, RS children overhaul, UNP and alternative start, as well as USLEEP without installing lots of patchers and stuff.

p.s. NO idea what that person's problem was with the patching, the steps are rather simple to follow.
You can use console command "setessential xx00403B 0" and replace xx with the load order index of Hearthfire.esm to make Sofie not Essential.
