    Simple bathing V2.0
We work hard with clioshand to add features to simple bathing (and try to keep it light and simple) and make bonus balanced.
This version is based on BYOB version and will be declined to be used without SKSE later.

It is a major update, if you use 1.3, a new game (or save) is strongly suggested.
You can try to use a script cleaner to use it on an existing save, but we can't help you if you face a problem.

List of the features added :
    - 7 type of soaps (with their own textures) craftable through the cooking pot :

    * Plain Soap (Fortify Speechcraft +1)
    * Blue mountain flowers Soap (Regenerate health +5)
    * Red mountain flowers Soap (Regenerate magicka +5)
    * Purple mountain flowers Soap (Regenerate stamina +5)
    * Superior mountain flowers Soap (Regenerate health +3, Regenerate magicka +3, Regenerate stamina +5)
    * Lavender flowers Soap (Fortify Speechcraft +3, Resist Magic +4)
    * Dragon tongue flowers (Fortify Speechcraft +3, Resist Fire +5)

    - 7 type of Wash water (bonus are halved compared to soap) craftable through the cooking pot.
    - Water is mandatory when you want to use soap. You can bath in all rivers.(based on SKSE water utility written by Mzin). Compatible with all DLC, Falskaar, wyrsmooth and any water mod without any patches.
    -Three state of dirtiness :

    * "Clean & relax" (+5 speechcraft, +20 resist disease, +5% learning skill), require to bathe in a bathroom, or "Clean" (+5 speechcraft, +20 resist disease) require to use a soap and bath in a river or "Refreshed" when you use wash water (+2.5 speechcraft, +15 resist disease) during for 4 real game hours.
    * Not dirty (no bonus / no malus)
    * Dirty (-10 speechcraft, -20 resist diseases, -10 sneaking) occurs 8 hours after your bath (maybe it will need another step or to be adjusted).

    - Using different way to wash yourself induces slightly different bathing animations.
    - All washbaskets in Inn open a merchant container where you can buy some soap and sell yours.
    - All washbaskets in your own bathroom or placable one open a shared container where you can store your soap and wash water (nothing else).
    - Camping wooden washtub react as same as washbaskets. (Optional)
    - A configuration power allows you to disable debuff and water restriction (in this case soap are only usable in bathroom)

    If you update from 1.99beta
    1. Overwrite when asked
    2. Safety belt : Open your savegame with a savegame editor (I suggest fallrimtools) and remove SBBathBeingDirtyMGEFScript
    3. That's all

    How to install
    1. Install as usual[/color]
    2. That's all

    About merging
All the patches can be merged together or with others mod. Main ESP must be left alone.

    Special instruction for Relinker user
    Remove SBBathBeingDirtyMGEFScript.pex relinker output.

If you want to change soap buff duration and / or neutral sate

    How it works
Buff duration is in game hours, clean state should last 4-5 hours (default), neutral state (not dirty) 4-5 hours more(default), before you fall to dirty state. So with a timescale of 10, Clean state should last 24-30 min real time, and neutral 24-30 min more, you fall to dirty state after around 44-60 minutes of playing (small variation due to .how my script works).

    How to tweak it
Through the console (change will be stored in your save):
Open it (²) and type :
set SBBathSoapEffectLengthGLOBAL to 8.00 (default value, replace by what you want).
set SBBathTimetobeDirtyGLOBAL to 12.00 (default value, replace by what you want). This value must be superior to SBBathSoapEffectLengthGLOBAL (min 2 hours).

    With TESVEdit :
Open the plugin and change these values :
SBBathSoapEffectLengthGLOBAL (default is 8.00) defines the duration of the "clean" bonus
SBBathTimetobeDirtyGLOBAL (Default is 12) defines after how many time you're being "dirty". This value must be superior to SBBathSoapEffectLengthGLOBAL (min 2 hours).

The delta between these values is the "neutral" state duration.

    List Of Planned Features/Updates
    - Adjustable buff duration
    - No inn version
    - No SKSE version
    - Shader for dirty state (if I manage to understand how to make it works and how to reduce conflict with other mods).

Please give us your feedback :)

Because this version doesn't require anything to access the baths (no innkeeper dialogue etc) if you have a follower mod that allows them to sandbox (EFF, AFT, etc) they will undress and join you in the tubs because there's a seat for them to move to. They'll decide on their own though - sometimes they'll just sit on the outside bench and stay clothed. Immersion! :)
Note: They don't gain any buffs, it's just cosmetic.

@clioshand I guess I've finally found a mod/info I've been looking for all over nexus and/or reddit - for about an hour now: bathing with/without follower. I guess the "follower friendly" tag says that, but I couldn't find the info in mod description, just wanted to make sure. Hopefully this mod is lighter for my heavy load order and safer than Bathing In Skyrim. Thanks !

The Bath Water you create at the cooking pot (1.3 Version) Since I use it with Bathing in Skyrim and Campfire's the water acts like a Potion and you drink it (Not sure if this intended or something else), I just thought it was strange and it places the water into the Potion's Section of your inventory.

    Howdy!

Love the idea, but I must ask, is this mod okay with Dirt and Blood's bathing ability? Cause I have that one and just need places to bathe and this mod looks simple enough for my needs.

    Thanks, stay safe!

Well with 2.0 you can still use the baths but you'll have to be careful to use DnB's soaps not SBs or you won't affect your DnB stats
Or just grab 1.3, it's the same baths just a lighter bathing mechanic you can basically ignore.

Hello! I was wondering if the no inns version is compatible with Enderal: Forgotten Stories? I understand that it still adds the building plans to Skyrim's merchants so I'm kinda worried to try it in Enderal.

Things added to Skyrim merchants won't appear in Enderal so no worries there. I do recall some of my mods did not work the same when I played it (waaay back when it came out) but the washwater should be fine, and I can't see why the soap wouldn't work as usual in baths or lakes you find in Enderal. But best to make a 'test' save and run around see if the mechanics, debuffs, etc work for it.

Interesting mod. I use Showers in Inns, but never found a bathing room in Winterhold, so this mod allows me to add one there. Or drop one anywhere there isn't a river, for that matter! (Just got to remember where I put it! :P).

Was trying out creating a shower in Hjerim (with Jaxonz; copied a shower somewhere else). Used the activate basket on this mod and flooded the whole downstairs! Well, it did need a clean up, anyway!

Glad you like it! That shower flood thing is ??! dunno how that shower mod is interacting to make that

There is a bath in Winterhold, maybe a mod is rearranging the inn and hiding it?
It's on the floor, to the right of the shelves right beside the door to Nelacar's room.

Didn't see your reply, sorry. Upgraded laptop and reinstalling mods.

The shower flood thing wasn't your mod, don't worry. P. Think I was trying to do something with Jaxonz that should be done with the CK! .P.

I do have a mod that adds an NPC/quest in the Frozen Hearth. Shouldn't affect the bath. Have to have another look when I get back on.

      Nice work, though.

Is version 2.0 compatible with Bathing in Skyrim without needs of patches? Because it seems I can't get under 20% dirty no matter how many times I bathe (at the Bannered Mare), and now I have three negative effects that say I'm very dirty that won't go away, even after bathing.

EDIT: It seems that bathing with this mod's soaps can't get you under 20% dirtiness, so you must use Bathing in Skyrim's ones to get fully clean. So this mod tracks dirtiness separately from BiS, which means that you have to bathe twice every time, once with this mod's soap and once with BiS' soap to get fully clean. Problem is, this mod's cleanliness lasts for very few in game hours, and I keep on getting the dirtiness debuffs in my Active Effects panel, even if they don't do anything to my skills and stats. It would be nice to have a working patch for these two mods, although I doubt it will ever happen.

By scrolls do you mean the buildable baths? Those are buyable only, at Whiterun and Solitude merchants. Careful if you have economy mods, their chance of having the bath kit might lower or be overwritten by mods that edit those merchants' chests. Be sure to use/check your bash patch or make a merge in xEdit.

Am I the only one who gets this annoying bug using this mod?
all active effects with duration are ended immediately and gone.
only active effect with no duration is active.
can't figure it out which mod that bugging my game, but I suspect this mod, because I try to uninstall it start a new game, and everything is alright until I try this mod again.

Thank you! I too have way more mods than normal people. Trying to write a Skyrim story and wanted it to be as realistic as possible, so although I don't intend to go into detail about him bathing, it does make a difference to a story if he stinks because he ran out of soap, you know? And it's a good opportunity for amusingness. Really nice mod, all I needed in a bathing mod. I just wish he could use the shower in my Redspire Manor home on Solstheim.
