    Thank you! As with so many other things that didn't ''work'', Bethesda should have tried to 'improve' the school of mysticism instead of just throwing it into the garbage.

    Good day!

    Just wanted to ask if this script error from the papyrus log can be ignored, or can this cause random ctd? I've tried to merge this mod with others and named it as "SpellsMerge.esp" but if this can be ignored then I'll leave it be. If not, I'll return it as a standalone file. TIA!

      You should leave Mysticism.esp as a standalone file. I'm grabbing references in that script via the GetFormFromFile command which uses the file name as an argument, so you've broken that script.

    So what exactly will happen if this mod and Acquisitive Soul Gems Multithreaded are both active?

      I don't think that mod is doing anything this one isn't, so there is no reason to use both. But, I haven't checked in on that mod in a while so I might be mistaken. But you can e.g. trap multiple creatures with the soul trap spell here, and if you don't like the leveling this mod introduces you can disable it in the MCM.

      You might be able to get them working together as it's just a matter of one script replacing the other, but don't expect any help :-) (from me anyway).

    Am I correct in thinking that the Soulfire first depletes charge and than the magicka restores it when the power is active? So if you patient enough you don't really need Soul Gems to recharge anymore? Which makes lesser souls at some point completely useless? Could I suggest alternative? If it is possible wouldn't it been more interesting if the Soulfire depleted magicka first and than the charge? So for example if you swing your enchanted sword left and right you might end up with no magicka and than you deplete charge of your weapon, but if you play smart and manage your magicka use on the weapon you might not use up the charge at all. With tougher enemies you still end up chipping away at your charge and therefor you still need to recharge it a bit. Keeping the lesser soulgems "in game". In other words your magicka would work as a shield for a charge. Like for example shields work in Borderlands 2 or Mass Effect for health. Now I know that your mod is complete as far as you are concerned, but if you like the idea I would love to see you implement it. That would require some balancing, but I think that would add really nice layer to gameplay. Imagine scenario where you attack bandit camp. The fight takes time and you had to use your enchanted sword. The bandits kept coming at you so you had to swing a lot in quick succession and tried as best as you can you couldn't regenerate all that magicka fast enough (becuase you thought: "I am a warrior I don't need magicka potions"), so you did chip away at your charge of the weapon. You also needed to heal up with a magick a bit so you depleted it so much faster. That makes potions all the more useful as well. All in all it makes all the game mechanics to come together and add to the immersion, because you need to actually plan and pay attention just a bit more.

      It already works as you describe: your Magicka drains first, and then the charge on the weapon. While you are recharging the weapon, you don't regenerate Magicka (or, or another way, you regenerate Magicka into the weapon rather than into your Magicka pool). Once the weapon is charged you regenerate Magicka normally until you use the weapon again.

      And FYI it accounts for dual-wielding as you would expect, too.

      Great xD! Then the vids I watched on it were out of date ;) But I still think it shouldn't recharge the weapon. Otherwise it's still a waiting game instead of resource management game, which still makes weaker souls obsolete, and if it recharges weapon in combat you are out of luck if you want to heal and have to wait for weapon recharge before magicka kicks in. BTW when magicka and weapons are drained and weapon recharges first does it stand to a reason that magicka potions recharge weapons?

      On the last bit about potions: pretty much yes. Soulfire immediately drains any Magicka you have to recharge weapons as the first priority, so if you consume a potion then it will go into your Magicka pool first but then immediately into the weapon.

      It would only be up to your total Magicka, though, so if you have 150 maximum Magicka and consume a potion to restore 200, you'd only get 150 points (times whatever multipliers based on Enchanting skill) of charge on the weapon.

      Oh also, as mentioned in the readme, any multipliers you have applied to your Magicka regen rate will translate to a quicker recharge on your weapon, as well.

      I'm not sure what link he's referring to, but it's stated several times throughout the comment section that this is a rot13 encryption. Hence the recent smarmy remarks to anyone still wondering about it. Do a bit of digging and the answers are typically already there for you.

It's not there to piss you off, just to act as a spoiler tag since those aren't supported in mod descriptions. As for whatever other comment you're talking about, well it was probably a while ago so don't really remember, but if I was curt it's probably because I was in a hurry.
